The breakfast is true highlight with great selection to satisfy everyone. Beds are incredibly comfortable, quality bedding. The place is spotless, we’ve stayed here 5 times already and it is clear that cleanliness is top priority as everything from the common areas to our room is impeccably maintained. Bathroom cosy, plenty of space. Our host, Stefan, is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We will definitely stay here again.

Hotel in a central location, opened in 22, clean, bright and large rooms. You can even open the windows. We had a nice view of the square next to the opera right in the city centre. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the past three years when visiting Hannover, and it never disappoints. It's a very comfortable and affordable hotel in the center of Hannover, with a train station just in front of the door and a supermarket on the first floor. The staff was really helpful and nice. With the electronic doors, everything was made super easy. We didn't even have to do the check out, just leave the room before 12pm.

The rooms were clean, cosy and modern. We loved the comfort. Sauna was spacious, clean and discrete (open form 18:00 until 24:00). Gym is open non-stop. The hotel has bike 'rental' (for free) service - just ask at the reception and they will gladly help you. Loved it, would come again.

A Revivalist Triumph

The capital of Lower Saxony, beautiful Hanover has been so thoughtfully planned that you can’t tell it was largely destroyed in World War II. The city is full of green spaces, one of which is by huge Maschsee lake where sailors and rowers share the waters with pedaloes. In winter you may be able to skate there. A smaller lake in the Maschpark closer to the centre reflects the grand New Town Hall overlooking it.

The Old Town Hall is in the Old Town where half-timbered buildings were brought from all areas of the city during rebuilding. The square behind hosts one of the Hanover Christmas markets. The others are on Kröpcke pedestrian shopping street, and in front of the station, where the city’s main shopping centre - Ernst August Gallerie – is located.

To the north are the incredible, landscaped Herrenhausen Gardens – awash with colour for much of the year. This area gives its name to the local pilsener – Herrenhäuser. Also here are colourful sculptures by Niki de Saint Phalle, whose work is also displayed in the Sprengel modern art museum.

    If you are interested in "pretty, old" Germany, there are lots of other places that are more attractive to visit. While there are some stunning individual buildings such as the Neues Rathaus and the Maschpark (which is lovely), much of the city centre is standard fare - chain shops and shopping arcades. The Herrenhauser and surrounding gardens are delightful to visit, though. So a mixed bag. Worth a day or so, perhaps?

    It was good to visit a well maintained city, there is a slightly noticeable homeless issue but not significant. City is on the whole very clean. The transport system is fantastic and efficient but does require foresight as DB usage requires advanced booking - tip make sure your phone is charged! Public transport is reasonably priced.

    We were in Hannover for work and had limited time to sight...

    We were in Hannover for work and had limited time to sight see, however we managed to see the Town hall, worth a visit and Herrenhauser garten, beautiful particularly on a sunny day. Take warm clothes, it can get chilly, however we were lucky to enjoy the sunshine despite the nip in the air. Easy to walk around, transport is very convenient and cheap in comparison to London. The place felt safe as a tourist and very clean. We went to the old town to see the lovely historic buildings. There is a large shopping area in the centre and a shopping centre should you feel the need to browse. Overall a good working trip.

    the city of Hannover is a beautiful city wandering around it brought it to life the Rat house & the churches were brought the character to life the hotel staff where great & did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible as i walk with a stick the kitchen staff where there helping me to carry the hot food to the tablethere was always a smile & a good morning when i came down to Breakfast from both the desk staff & the kitchen staff the desk staff who also ran the bar the check in staff also booked me in for a late check out as i was flying back to the UK at 9-30 at night i enjoyed my stay &may be back later in the year

    The city centre/old part is quite a nice pedestrian area. We also visited the Sprengel Museum, which has some lovely modern art pieces. The Christmas market was lovely. I think a couple of days in late spring or summer would be an even better experience to walk around and enjoy the outdoors.

    Our second stay at this hotel travelling through Germany by car. The rooms are very dated, but it is this factor that makes the stay affordable. The location is fantastic, our room had a balcony, which is often not the case for the price, and the nearby park and shops as well as accessibility from the motorway, made it an excellent choice for an overnight stop when driving a long distance.
