Very friendly and attentive host family. Situated in a quite village but convenient enough for exploring other places and many interesting forest walks. Good bus and train connections close by.

In a word: Wow! What a wonderful experience. The hospitality, the spacious rooms and shower. And the food, oh my god... One of the best dinners we've ever had. The truffle sauce of the fillet steak was heavenly, and the halibut was cooked to prefection. The generous breakfast was also delicious. We cannot wait to return to Kamino in our next visit to the Black Forest!

We had a warm welcome to the hotel, the host was very helpful and friendly. The amenities were basic but clean, and the bed was comfortable. We had a nice quiet stay, and would recommend the breakfast. The restaurant downstairs is also lovely!

We had the most wonderful four-day stay at this fantastic four-star hotel, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—so accommodating, kind, and genuinely attentive to every detail. The food was an absolute highlight. Breakfast was not only delicious and varied but also exceptionally mindful of allergens, which we truly appreciated. Dinners showcased incredible local flavors, making every meal a delightful experience. Sustainability is clearly at the heart of this hotel, and it shows in every aspect of their hospitality. It was refreshing to see such a commitment to eco-friendly practices without compromising on luxury and comfort. We chose this hotel for our babymoon, looking for relaxation, and it exceeded all expectations. The spa was a dream—massages, facials, and a tranquil atmosphere that made us feel completely pampered and at peace.     Ibach was a nice area to use as a home base.

    Ibach was a nice area to use as a home base. We explored it going for some nature walks. It was only an hour or so drive to other places such as Triberg and Freiburg. It was also close to the largest lake in the Black Forest, Lake Schluchsee (20 minutes). We were lucky because when we went (end of March), we had varied weather. So we got to experience the area in all seasons, waking up to fresh snowfall on some days. :)
