Good if you just need a private place to stay in the area Ludwigshafen/Mannheim/Heidelberg. They even have a 'real' reception, not just a key box or something like that. The commuter train stop next to the hotel (in fact it is the old station building) allows you to come to other places easily, Mannheim main station for example is only 3 stops away.

    If you have business in Mannheim, I would recommend not staying in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Sure they are only separated by the Rhein river but things could have been much easier in my case if I had found property in Mannheim. Do not take my word for it though, try it for yourself.

    Ludwigshafen am Rhein is one of the ugliest cities in...

    Ludwigshafen am Rhein is one of the ugliest cities in Germany. It was built around the chemical plant of BASF with 60 thousand employees. They are tearing down the Rathaus Center and Berliner Platz looks like after a bombing. The raised highways are also partially removed and the Rhine bridges have to be repaired. The main shopping street has 1 Euro Shops, closed shops and other stuff. Terrible. But it's always worth to go there when you have old friends there. No matter how ugly the town is, I will return. The best thing is the BASF wine cellar in Anilinstrasse they have amazing wines.

    This is an excellent hotel. Well renovated facilities. Hotel has its own parking on premises (No extra charges). The receptionist was polite and helpful. Room was clean, spacious and well equipped (TV, chairs, desk, mirror, closet, fridge, charging sockets on both sides of the bed, lighting, fast Wi-Fi, towels, shampoo, shower gel). Bed and mattress were comfortable. Separate blankets and pillows were provided for double bed, as requested. Bathroom and toilet were clean.

    It has been an overall excellent experience, despite the shortness of my stay here. The hotel deserves far more than the one night I gave it. It is comfortable, the common areas are great, the outdoor space is a huge bonus. As for the staff - they are the right people working in the right place. Thank you.

    Great hotel for a good price! Very clean rooms, soft beds and a nice bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location, there was a big mall on the other side of the street, and the tram station was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
