A rare opportunity to stay in a monastery, let alone a beautiful Benedictine monestary in Bavaria. Clean, roomy, comfortable bedroom. Enchanting setting just next to the Danube at Vilshofen. Excellent restaurant on site with friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We were welcomed very warmly at Gasthof Wolferstetter despite having arrived early and at a time that the staff were exceedingly busy. Our room was immaculate and although the facilities are not opulent the bed is very comfortable and everything perfectly functional. The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast lunch and dinner and we barely enjoyed our meals

The place is magnificent. I got a big room with a really comfortable bed. The kitchen is equipped with pots, knives, forks, etc, everything you need for cooking, also a dishwasher. Everything inside the apartment is fully functional. The place is very near the center and the train station, so you don't need to walk too much to go to other cities around. The owner is always willing to help you and give you information about the place. I had a wonderful time there. Very peaceful area. Highly recommend it.

Very tastefully decorated, renovated building which has had a long and varied life. Good size room, comfortable beds, warm, quiet, comfortable room but having 2 chairs (not one)in the room would be good instead of one of us having to sit on the bed. LIFT, good breakfast, English spoken by owner. Highly recommended. Great museum, Museum Quintana, in the town of Kunzing 7000yrs of history including an excellent Roman section.

Simple, functional and clean room with very good bed. The bathroom is super. The place is, by default, really quiet. Breakfast was perfect. This is a very nice place. I recommend it.

Event though the hotel is not very new, it's very cozy and clean. People there are very friendly and they were helpful with my late checkin. Super nice that parking is included. A pity that I didn't get to try the spa.

    We were there to meet our river cruise boat. An interesting, historic and pretty small town with good walks by the Danube. Italian restaurant near to the tall clock tower was very good. One night would be fine.

    This is a gem of a hotel. It’s not really a conventional hotel at all but a hundreds of years old monastery nestled on a hill overlooking large expanses of fields and ponds. My room was magnificent (ask for Bishop Zimmers room) with sweeping view, architecture to die for and plenty of walking paths and an on premises restaurant. (Closed Mondays). It’s VERY quiet and this huge property is 15 minutes walk down into the village below. A real find!

    Very tradition and location right in the middle of town. Simon and Katerina were fabulous hosts. The hotel is very old - has been a pub since the 1500’s so was very charming and traditional. We would stay again.

    Great place to stay in the small town of Vilshofen. The inn is walking distance to the river boat docking station. The hotel was clean and adequate. There are steps to navigate and there is no elevator.

    Charming hotel in a small town. We only stayed one night as we were boarding a river cruise the following day. Had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the next day. Food was excellent
