The reception staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and clean, beautifully decorated, with a cozy, chic atmosphere. The toilet was separate, and the view of the mountain was exceptional. The breakfast was simple but had everything you needed. Parking was available. The possibility of storing my bike in a secure space

A pleasant surprise in a beautiful place to make a stop in the Black Forest. The staff was very kind and helpful and the breakfast was very good. Attention to their guests and details on arrival exceeded all expectations. I recommend this place without a doubt.

This is our second stay with Tatjana and Ludwig, this time with kids. Gruner Baum is the perfect spot in the the Black Forest and everything about it, from the clean and comfortable rooms, the view of the forest and the delicious breakfast, are unmatched. Tatjana and Ludwig are gracious, entertaining and funny. They were always available to help with anything we needed. Highly recommended for couples or families. Tatjana, next time will be sooner than 11 years!

    Given the fact that the main entrance also had a secondary...

    Given the fact that the main entrance also had a secondary door to another apartment belonging to a couple that seemed to live there year around, parking was a challenge, made worse by them having their firewood delivered, for which I had to move my car again(had done so the night before as well). The steep and narrow driveway and small courtyard made it extremely difficult to get out to the street. The neighbor was kind enough to back my car up the hill.
