Every detail has been thoughtfully considered—from eco-friendly breakfast options to a restaurant offering fresh, local ingredients, a delightful selection of wines, and local craft beer. The entire place is crafted with a true love for what they do, and you can feel it in every aspect. There’s also a pristine pool with warm water and a Finnish sauna for ultimate relaxation. Location was top ❤️ absolutely loved the apartments. We have booked two as we went as a family trip including kids. The apartments are extremely well equipped with full kitchen and cooking possibilities. We didn’t lack absolutely anything. Everything was very fresh and nicely cleaned and a lot of detail orieted location. Staff were sweet and funny and always helpful.

    Winterberg exceeded expectations.

    Winterberg exceeded expectations. One believes that you would need to go to Switzerland or Austria to have a great ski holiday, but the truth is a short 4 hour drive from the middle of the Netherlands you are in a place where as a beginner skier you have everything you might want! There might be more challenging slopes, but I did not attempt those this time around, I will surely be back again to see more..

    Winterberg has the nostalgie of the past and combines that with the needs of the younger sporty generation, including families. Public transport is well organized and free for visitors who stay one or more nights.

    If you go to Winterberg, do it for the nature.

    If you go to Winterberg, do it for the nature. Lovely for walking or touring with your car or motorbike. The village Winterberg is not that special, but it has nice restaurants and a good icecream café. Take a look at other bigger villages for daytrips. River the Eder and Edersee are also very beautifull!

    Although there was not a lot of snow, some areas were still...

    Although there was not a lot of snow, some areas were still open as they provided fake snow for people to ski. This was perfect for my partner and me as we were still beginners with skiing. Therefore, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to start learning to ski. Also, things were quite cheap there regarding food/ groceries and also leisure such as going to a wellness center.

    The area is a professional ski resort and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, we had no snow in the first week of the year. Aside of snow sports, I can recommend the indoor playground MonkeyIsland because of the fair prices and their kind service. Our kids had a lot of fun there. Also, the wild park in Willingen filled a whole day of fun for all ages.

    Perfect location, everything’s near!

    Perfect location, everything’s near! Wonderful views of the room we had..Mountain View and lawn view plus the sound of the rooster not only early in the morning cockadoodling but during the day as well! Makes you feel in a remote village. Breakfast was ample and sumptuous, friendly staffs, lovely ambience, everything is neat. We had massage as well and it was so relaxing 4 nights stay at this lovely hotel! The small cozy restaurant served scrumptious schnitzel and trout fish and with portion of fresh green salad. However, we didn’t enjoy the swimming pool, twas not warm enough! Would love to come back and stay here again!

    The appartment was nice and spacious. Nice location for walking. But the hotel room we were promised (both in writing and in person at the reception) was given away and no alternative was provided. As a consequence we had to shorten our stay while we had already bought skiing tickets. They did not even offer their excuses or come back to me. Incredibly bad service.

    Beautiful new renovated room. This room would fit in a 4-star hotel. Very sweet couple who are constantly ready for you and make your breakfast in the morning. To get to Winterberg you need the ski bus, just walk down the hill and you are at the stop. Furthermore, a beautiful view. The house is on the outskirts of Altastenberg and you walk straight into nature.

    Nice cozy place not far from the lift. Very good quality breakfast with not a lot of choice, but it is great! Free parking available around. Clean rooms and pleasant staff members. Sauna is good, clean, small, enough to enjoy your evening after hiking/skiing day. We did enjoy few evenings in the restaurant of the hotel and it was great, recommend it.

    The hotel is located in a beautiful little quiet village a few km's from Winterberg itself. When we there it had just snowed so we could go walking through the pristine snow. Our room was clean, very cozy and spacious with great views. The owner was most helpful and really thought about our needs.
