We got a free upgrade to a better room with a view of the Nile and the hotel pool. The pool is heated and very pleasant for swimming, you can have a drink at the pool and enjoy the beautiful view. The hotel itself is also beautiful and considering what we saw while sailing on the Nile, we would say that it is the most beautiful in all of Luxor. All the staff were also helpful and friendly and ready to help at any time. There are several restaurants in the hotel (for two I know for sure that their allergens are marked, which is very important for me with celiac disease). Among other things, the restaurants I visited had gluten free bread for me. The quality of food in restaurants is not perfect, but it is decent.

A perfect 10 out of 10! I was hesitant at first, wondering if the photos would match reality, and I’m glad to say my expectations were fully met. The hotel looks just like in the pictures. It feels as if time has stood still here since the early 20th century: antique interiors, books available for reading, grand high arches, and spacious halls – truly an oasis in the midst of bustling, crowded Egypt. The rooms are cleaned regularly, and all bathroom fixtures are spotless—almost as if they were just installed. There is no intrusive music, neither in the restaurants nor by the pool—this place is designed for escaping the hustle and bustle of the world and giving your mind a break from constant thoughts. It makes you want to lounge by the pool all day, reading books. The hotel grounds invite you to take peaceful walks through the inner garden and the herb garden, where various plants are grown. The staff is incredibly attentive and courteous. The attention to detail from the hotel's designer is truly impressive—it feels like every little thing has been carefully thought out. This hotel is worth every penny. I will definitely return. My wife was absolutely thrilled and insists that this hotel should become our go-to vacation spot!

I really enjoyed seeing various monuments and then relaxing at my hotel. Most of the monuments are very close to where you'd be staying - which is really pleasant. There are several very reasonable tour operators and always lots of availability, during the off season. I recommend going between June - December, as there's more availability and it's not crowded.

If I have to go back to Luxor ever again - I would pick a Hotel with a view and good food, and outside of the city centre (avoid Luxor Temple/Souk areas). Honestly, if I had to do it again, I would just leave the hotel with a private driver and guide (and air conditioner) to visit all the temples and tombs, and the Hassan Fathy (architect) house, mosque and neighbourhood. Buy nothing and do nothing in the city centre. I loved all the Temples and Tombs visited, definitely worth while and amazing architecture (Karnak will be forever in my memory), but had a terrible experience with the city itself due to the excessive aggression to tourists in the centre. The Western side of Luxor seemed a bit calmer and more genuine. The city is experienced with a constant aggression by people trying to sell you things. It is overwhelming. To the point that it made me averse to it. The souk was full of fake/low quality items and the same applies to the alabaster factories & perfume shops the guides try to take you due to their commissions' revenue. There are just too many scams and everything was outrageously overpriced. I bought all I wanted and needed in Cairo.

A guided tour to the Valley of Kings and Queens is a must.

A guided tour to the Valley of Kings and Queens is a must. Also the temples of Luxor and Karnak are worth visiting. Easy to get around by taxi (haggling a must), but Uber was not reliable (one guy turned up with our booking on his phone but in a different car and wanting to be paid again!). Some locals looking for custom were a bit pushy at the temples- be prepared to ignore and walk on. Overall an amazing city full of historic sights.

I booked a 7-hour tour with guide and that was enough time to see the Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, and Hatshepsut Temple. I guess I could have taken a river cruise or done a hot air balloon ride the next day, but one day/2nights was plenty for me! Maybe if it hadn't been 100 F I would have wanted to stay longer!

Trip of a lifetime.....you have to decide East Bank or West Bank. West Bank is close to the Valley of the Kings.....but East Bank has the museums, hotels, restaurants etc. We got a taxi to East Bank each night and ate in The Steigenberger-Thai restaurant....excellent The balloon ride is not for the faint-hearted.....we landed in a wheat field and had a whip round for the distraught farmer....22 in the basket. Make sure you have afternoon tea in the garden of The Winter Palace... minimum 10$ spend...memorable

I had a very good time in Pyramisa Luxor. Staffs was very helpful when we couldn’t take that noise from the Christmas event but they immediately changed our new room. Hotel is clean and beautiful view. Beside, I highly recommend a very good organisation tour guide Abdul and his number is +201019016230. He is extremely take care of us with his services still the last day we left Egypt. Thank you so much for making my holiday completely happy and unforgettable. Lots of love from Huy and Jenny

The location of the hotel is the best thing! we loved being on the west bank of Luxor, far from the crowds of the city. The hotel itself is very nice and clean, and it has amazing views from the roof top! We arrived very early in the morning and they offered to prepare breakfast for us, which was a very nice detail. We could also make the laundry and they didn’t want to charge us extra money. It has been, probably, the best hotel in Egypt we’ve been. Unbeatable quality-price.

The hotel is in very good position near the Luxor Temple in the East bank of Luxor. The staff is very kind and helpful, and they can arrange every type of tour or visit in order of what you want to do. The breakfast is the best i found in my trip in Egypt, really full and with lot of choices. Another point of favour is the restaurant on the rooftop where you can have a very nice view on the temple. It's raccomanded for sure for a good stay in Luxor
