Everything! The location in the small village of Villardiegua was so beautiful and peaceful, the posada was perfect, just the right mix of rustic and modern, and the breakfasts and the dinners were delicious and superb value. Last, but certainly not least, the welcome and kindness of Manuela and Andres to us (and our dog) made us feel completely at home, nothing was too much trouble for them. we will go back without doubt.

The peace and quiet, the history of how Antonio gave the building some TLC, and the ground itself that the building is on. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and the friendly Magpie who came and sat on my shoulder and shared a biscuit with me. We loved the owls flying over at night, such a pleasure to watch while sitting under a tree. We also liked Antonio who seems to get a bad rap, he was friendly, informative and although he sold us the most expensive items on his menu, along with the most expensive wine we enjoyed it all (and to be fair, you can always say no and choose something cheaper if you wish, but we asked for recommendations and he gave them) along with the story that went with it, we liked the map of the area and the details he explained to us. The food was delightful and we really loved the steak and the ragu - thanks Antonio, we will return on our next trip to the North!

Everything! The owners were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was beautiful. The room was very spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. I booked the hotel with trepidation at short notice and the wife was even more so. We could not have been more wrong. The room was spotless and well fitted. The evening meal was one of the best that I have had for a long time and so was the wine which was free. The staff were very good helping a non Spanish speaker through the menu.
