Marta and her family are wonderful hosts and were very helpful throughout. The apartment is cozy and comfortable—perfect for a solo traveller, a couple or a small family. It is very well-equipped for short stays, in case you want to cook or wash clothes. Upon arrival, you are prepped with the basics: tea, snacks, canned drinks, bread, etc. The apartment is also located next to the Plaza Mayor, which is very convenient for dining out. If you are arriving by car, you can park by the plaza easily or elsewhere nearby.

The house is located at the centre of the village. Comfortable with a fantastic patio and swimming pool. The house is well decorated, comfortable and pristine clean. The kitchen and dining room is spacious with a fireplace. The personnel are responsive to requests and very nice. They came to lit the fire every morning

We had an amazing five days in this fantastic villa. It’s so beautiful and perfect for a large family. Maria Carmen was warm and welcoming and helpful. Loads of space and great facilities. Would definitely return 🥰

We liked the outdoor space and trampoline for the kids but it was cold and we were unlucky with the weather so we had to stay inside. It had everything you needed. A well stocked kitchen. TV and enough beds maybe for a family 5 or 6. We were six including 2 small children. There was a double bed, double sofa bed and two single beds and we fitted in fine. It’s a good base for exploring. Alberto was nice and accommodating.

It was a wonderful stay in an authentic setting. Easy to find and easy street parking . Most of all we loved the location directly across from the Plaza Mayor with all of its fabulous restaurants. Loved loved loved our stay. The staff were very helpful . Too.

    Colmenar de Oreja is very similar to Chinchón, without the touristy feel to it. Amazing main square, with an ancient underground passageway below it, cobbled streets, a ravine with panoramic views, and local white stone buildings - and even a stone museum (open at weekends). If you come by car, don't try to navigate the one-way streets in the old quarters - Google Maps goes crazy and won't take you from A to B. If you can, just park and walk!
