Great location at the shore of Pielinen. Place is pet friendly (extra fee) with peace and quiet around even though cottages are close to each other and semi-detached.  Short distance to the Koli hiking trails and Koli village for grocery shopping. Should you need cash though, the nearest ATM/cash machine is at the next village (Juuka), so stack up with cash for example for the pet fee in advance. Cottages are relatively new and tidy. They are equipped with a Sauna, washing machine and dryer, which is simply brilliant. Kitchen is well equipped along with a dishwasher. In the living room there is a fireplace and plenty of firewood available. Nice TV-set should you need one... I recommend this accommodation for families, singles, couples and pets.

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, and very knowledgeable about the area. Great location for hiking in Koli National Park. Rooms were spacious and had all the facilities needed. Fire pit/grill was prepared for an easy light.

Excellent location close to the harbour and hiking trails. Had own sauna with lake access. Really well appointed with full sized fridge. Cabin was warm and spacious. Hosts were friendly and very responsive! Also had access to a row boat, table tennis, darts and mökki which was great fun. The Kota had a great atmosphere too. Our cabin had a great verandah with our own grilli.

We loved all the facilities that were available there. From cozy socks, sauna, the yoga studio and mini cinema to the kitchen utensils and cooking ingredients available. The atmosphere in the building was really charming and cozy and invited for total relaxation as well as socialization with other guests. Everything felt very homey. Our room Valo was great to sleep in and felt comfortable and safe. Our stay was amazing and we will return for sure!

A very nice house for 1-2 families depending on the number of kids. It has everything one needs, is comfortable and the location and view are great. The sauna and everything else was very clean and well maintained. Hint: The complete address for the building is Merilänrannantie 68e, not just 68 as in the listing.

    Koli National Park was formed by tens of thousands of years of erosion during the Ice Age, so the trails and hills are covered with large and small rocks. There are rich landscape changes during the journey. In autumn, the leaves are dyed red, yellow and orange. With a variety of colorful scenes, Koli National Park is a great place to enjoy autumn scenery. Climbing up the hills, you will see a 180-degree view of the lake unfolding in front of you, and you will be shocked by the magnificent scenery - and the trails are also very beautiful. The signs are very clear, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost if you’re walking alone.

    There is a good shop and hotel in the middle of the village,...

    There is a good shop and hotel in the middle of the village, plus also another hotel on the top of the hill "Koli". Neart he village also "Räsävaara" observation tower allowing good views to the forest landscape and lake. Also the new hotel in the Kolinkylä village is easy to see from observation tower. You need a car to get around.

    It's a small but cute little place with excellent hiking...

    It's a small but cute little place with excellent hiking options. Few other locations along with Koli are close by in case you wish to see more. Very easy to get to see the Akka-, Ukko- and Paha-Koli and enjoy the view to lake Pielinen. I recommend to drive also to the harbour and see lake Pielinen also from the shore.
