The house is located around 20km from Mariehamn, so it is bit remote and very quiet. The view was simply stunning and we enjoyed staying on the terrace so much. The kitchen-living room area has big windows so you can enjoy the view even when staying inside. We stayed there in the very end of May, so it was not high season yet and we were the only guests in the site.

The location is very good because it is surrounded by nature and a private beach. The shared kitchen has a microwave ,electric kettle and refrigerator. There is a sink for washing dishes. Perfection, its a bakery as well as a hotel, so we had freshly baked bread ready for us in the morning. Accomodating host that were very keen on us being comfortable despite a last-minute booking.

Strandhugget is the perfect place to while away the summer days, watch the lively harbour and go for hikes or bike rides. The breakfast is among the best we have had in a BnB, with homemade buns, cakes and jams. Tea and her husband were gracious, friendly and welcoming hosts and had good tips for trips and things to see and do. The huts are small but cozy and very clean.

I love all about this stay. It was a great two-night experience in Föglö. Imagine a rainy day with a cup of coffee and a book staying inside of the cozy little cabin where we could enjoy the quiet and peaceful moments. When it was sunny outside, we could bicycle, paddle and stroll around the beach. The best part for us was farm animals. We’ve got a chance to pet the baby goat, the cute rabbits and have some chat with Daddy goat outside the fence :P The best countryside experience ever and strongly recommend to stay there during your summer vacation!!
