The castle is just amazing. Very few opportunities to spend a night in such a beautiful piece of history! And the garden is just remarkable. The staff is exceptional in all aspects, very diligent, useful and kind. The restaurant located in the property is great with good food and wine and a very cosy atmosphere.

Everything! L'Amalgam is a gem! Our hosts gave us a warm welcome into their lovely home. Our large room had a very comfortable, supportive bed, a roomy ensuite, kettle and nepresso style coffee maker. The garden with pool is delightful; a lovely spot in which to relax after a long drive. Do order dinner if you stay here, it was great! Our food intolerance was very carefully adhered to and we enjoyed a very good meal. Breakfast was also good with jam and honey from the garden. The house is next to a château. Sadly we didn't have time to tour inside but did enjoy a walk around the gardens. Highly recommended

I had a very enjoyable overnight stay with a friend and two little doggies. This is a family run hotel, with the staff personal and engaging. Everbody made us feel welcome, trying in English and my broken Spanish, we got along perfectly well!. Tesla destination charger available for my EV meant we could start the next day with a full "tank". Dinner in the restaurant was good quality French cuisine, with two delightful and friendly ladies taking care of us (with the help of Google translate). No effort was too much for the staff to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel fronts onto a large lake that was perfect for a sundowner stroll with the dogs. While some reviewers complained about the size of the rooms, these were entirely adequate for an overnight stay on a road trip, clean and comfortable beddings with quality linen. We will be back on our return journey.

    Nice to visit the castles around and enjoy the scenery.

    Nice to visit the castles around and enjoy the scenery. A small lake for swimming some miles ahead. There are a number of nice restaurants in the neighbourhood as well. The village itself is very small and has no shops or stores.
