The building is so unusual and beautiful, very atmospheric, and although a little more upgrading is needed in places (eg. walls of the main stone staircase) this is clearly in progress. Our room was wonderful - spacious, well equipped, everything about it was top quality and very stylish. And it had amazing views! The restaurant is delightful and our dinner was first class. There is clearly a really good chef, and the waiting staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgable.

The location is idyllic . Beautiful and tranquil. Staff are charming and very considerate. We had one stop with two dogs travelling to Spain. Next time we will stay longer .

Really beautiful old house with a very comfortable bed, all what you need after driving all day. Staff were super kind and, even though we arrived when the kitchen was already closed, prepared a delicious dinner for us. We really appreciated it!

    so pleased to have found this hotel! Great location, close to major roads, but quiet and secluded by the gardens. The room was very clean and comfortable, the beds and linen were very good. Staff were polite and friendly and helped us with our language. Above all, the meals were wonderful! our evening meal was just superb, beautifully cooked and presented, excellent value for money. Really good experience, we shall definitely return if we are in that area next year.
