Nice place to stay with good quality rooms and a comfortable bed, I would certainly stay again if I was in the area. The breakfast needs to be improved though as its super basic with just two cereal types ( flakes or sugary granola with chocolate pieces ) and a nice croissant & bread / juice / coffee for 12 euros. I asked if there was anything else and the lady replied its a continental breakfast ( which I was already aware of ) but she did come out with a yogurt after her phone call. By offering some oats ( not everyone wants sugary cereal ), cheese / ham & boiled egg would really transform the offering and not cost the owners much more and make it worthwhile for guests, presently it doesn't represent value and in my opinion its not worth it. I didn't eat in the evening so I cannot comment about that. I am not out to give the owners a hard time, I think they are new to the place and clearly there making a real go at this, its a really good place to stay but with a few simple tweaks could make it perfect.

Room was sunlit, spacious with lovely decor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was nice and large and very comfy. Large shower. Room felt very clean and fresh and was lovely and warm as it was a chilly night. It was no problem to put our bikes in the hotel garage.

Absolutely a magnificent building, gardens, and interesting history of the chateau. The views from our beautiful room were so lovely. Claude and his lovely wife were so delightful and so welcoming to us. We loved their gorgeous dog!

Amazing location. Stunning views from a clearing in the forest 620m high on the slopes of the Grand Colombier. Small refuge with 3 double beds and two single beds in a dormitory on the top floor. Warm refuge, comfortable mattresses. Amazing local food prepared with love by the kind friendly couple that run it. Dinner was fantastic, simple but with great flavour and expertly cooked. Breakfast was great, children loved the pancakes, we loved the homemade preserves and the 'pain perdue'
