Exactly as described onto the website Booking.com and with offered facilities to use the shared kitchen and dining room. Sitting room available as well. Garden in case you are not travelling during Winter time 😜 Excellent wifi for workers and one of the best possible bedding offered (so comfortable !) If you try you’ll wish for sure to come back! I stayed for a night only as I wanted to break the journey from France going into the UK. It's only a 20 minute drive to the Eurotunnel, which is very convenient. The owners are very sociable and friendly and we spend the evening chatting in the garden.

WOW! This property is exceptional, the best accommodation we have ever stayed in (over the past 30 years). The hosts Pascale and Gavin really have thought of everything you could possibly need and more. The facilities and attention to detail are amazing. The whole accommodation is immaculate (inside & out) comfortable, spacious, light and airy. I highly recommend this property and we cannot wait to stay here again 😊

Everything from the pre arrival emails to the post stay comes was perfect. the house was well placed, impeccably clean, and very spacious, included lots of handy complementary extras. The children loved exploring the 2 large floors and the big rooms throughout. It was a great over night sleep en route from UK to Disney as it's situated just by the 2 main motorways to Paris, but in a quaint and pretty little traditional French village.

    Beautiful little town and only a short distance from Calais. We live in Kent and it was a perfect place for a short trip without involving too much driving. Ardres is also the home to Boursot Vins which offers an excellent range of quality wines.

    The Gite was spacious with the garden going all the way down to the lake. Although there was a Piste for Boules, no balls were provided. There are many nice restaurants in Ardres which was only about one kilometre away.

    A lovely old village with plenty of places to eat regardless...

    A lovely old village with plenty of places to eat regardless of budget, lots of character, great as a base to explore the Calais / Nord area and convenient for the port & tunnel. The lake area and nature reserve are wonderful and very peaceful. As regular cross channel travellers this was a new stopover place for us, but we will definitely be staying again and happily recommend it to others looking fir peace and quiet.

    Ardres is a small and typical french town, I didn't spend much time there but it has a good selection of traditional shops and a handy large supermarket. It's probably worth spending more time there to get to know it better and do it justice.

    I wanted to stay close to Calais but not in the town. This was perfect. I would definitely go again to this charming village and to La Bonne Auberge. Very good value and very convenient. I had a lovely short stay.

    Plenty of opportunities to see and do things. Close to Calais but not too close. Found lovely restaurant in Houlle, Au Rallye restaurant. Close to Blockhaus (World war 2 boxer site)Epercules. Lots of places to go.

    This is my second stay at this hotel. It is in a small pretty village which has cafes, pharmacy and a supermarket. Also a nice walk to the lake close by Etang d'Ardres. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Also 20 minutes drive to Calais for the ferry crossings. Will stay again during my time in Europe. Also plenty of free private parking onsite.

    Nicely equipped and ideal for our first night on our journey south - just half an hour from le Shuttle. The centre of Ardres is just a short walk away and the lakes are also within walking distance. The enclosed outdoor area was ideal for us as we travel with our dog.

    The property is located a few minutes walk from the centre of Ardres. It is easy to find and has allocated parking. The room itself is modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Wifi is good. Breakfast is self-service, continental style and more than adequate.

    The hosts are most welcoming and the homemade jams and yoghurt for breakfast are a genuine treat. The location is great: very quiet, close to the lake with excellent paths for walking around, easy walk into restaurant in Ardres (Maison du Chef has good food).
