Hotel des Thermes is in a league of it’s own. Old school-style and standards. The big feature is being served dinner in the palatial dining room where all the owner’s values are echoed: peace, comfort and simple but excellent cuisine. We had his speciality which is most delicious cous cous I’ve ever eaten cooked by the owner himself. Our room was impeccably clean and comfortable. Great shower and everything we needed. All this for an incredibly modest sum. I will be returning as a treat with my daughter in the spring. Can’t wait!

We loved this slightly quirky hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Our room was on the second floor accessible by a lift and a small flight of stairs. The room was not large but the bed was very comfortable, with good pillows! The shower was over the bath - always tricky not to soak the floor! No a/c but we were aware of this when we booked. There were a few different areas to sit - our favourite was the inner courtyard as it was the coolest, but there is a very pretty little garden and two lounges. The food in the restaurant was to a high standard, nicely presented and delicious. Breakfast was again self service with a nice selection of food on offer.

A particularly pleasant stay in the heart of the Bourbonnais region, whose gentle quintessence is so beautifully illustrated and palpable at the chateau of Grand Lucay. The reception of the hosts, the house and its environment are luminous, serene and pleasant. The breakfast will satisfy the gourmets who will find, if necessary, the redemption by walking through the 7 hectares of the park or by prolonging the stroll in the multiple paths which furrow the famous bocage of Bourbonnais, unless they prefer, if the weather lends itself to it, the siesta in the sun on the flowered lawn which extends to the foot of the residence The nights are as sweet and beautiful as the days and the gourmets will find within a small radius something to delight their taste buds. A very warm thank you to Elise and Pieter for their kindness and availability.

Such a nice little appartment very close to the city center. Equipped with everything you could need and more. A nice balcony and garden to sit in the morning sun. Quiet and a great surrounding including the castle.

This is a family run Auberge located in a quiet village. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the whole place, we had an en suite which was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay en route to our destination. The owners are a delightful couple and Madame is a tour de force in the kitchen. We were a late booking but despite the fact that Madame was cooking for the whole village that night and frankly run off her feet, she still managed to put together a meal for us that was worthy of any upmarket restaurant, oeuf en cocotte with smoked salmon followed by king prawns in an amazing sauce - which sadly I never got the name of! The wine selection is excellent and my partner was more than happy with the draught lager. The auberge was slightly off our route but I had read a review saying it was worth a detour, so thank you to that reviewer for the heads up.

All of the staff have big, genuine smiles. Everyone friendly and helpful. The location is stunning. Horses everywhere. Nice dogs in and around the property. We love dogs. Flowers, Chickens and ponds full of frogs. All very charming. The Chateau is beautiful. Comfortable beds, with nice clean white sheets. Gorgeous Views of the surrounding countryside. This place is a real find.

We had such a lovely stay here. The chateau is beautiful. The welcome was so friendly. We had a picnic in the garden under the tree, just perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer!

    We enjoyed our stay (with a pet) at this hotel, which had a great location in the heart of the town. The room was comfortable and we had a nice balcony too. The real highlight was the outdoor area of the restaurant, where we enjoyed our evening meal in the sunshine. Breakfast was tasty too.
