Love this hotel, my aunt and I stayed here for 2 nights and my brother joined us for the second night. The hotel accommodated him at very short notice. My aunt and I ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and the meal was superb. It is the second time I have eaten in the resurant as visit the area due to family living close by. The restaurant is closed after breakfast on Sundays. We found the nearest place to eat in the evening then was in Saint Junien a 20 minutes drive drive away. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Parking outside was free.

The property is stunning - very French and typical. We arrived very late and the host was waiting for us upon arrival (past 10pm). Breakfast was great! Fresh coffee, AMAZING bread and pastries! Would return again!

Friendly hosts immediately make you feel at home. Lovely garden to relax in. Breakfast features lots of homemade fare, a little bit unusual and totally delicious. Lovely quiet village with a good lake nearby to visit, and well situated in the North of the Perigord region.

Stunning venue, amazing staff and lovely rooms which the photo's just don't do it justice. If ever we are back in the area, we'll definitely stay here again. The owners are warm and friendly and we can see why it's a popular place to stay

    Le Vieux Fournil is the perfect couples getaway. Everything you need for a very relaxing break. Superbly renovated old building nestled in beautiful countryside with just birdsong as an accompaniment. We felt very lucky to have found this delightful place. Sue and Darren are the perfect hosts with nothing too much trouble. We will definitely return. Chabanais and surrounding villages are very picturesque with the mighty River Vienne flowing through the centre.
