Loved every minute of it, peaceful, clean and the owners really put in great effort to have a lovely stay. I’m very happy to review this property especially if it goes a long way to help the owners, one of the best stays I’ve had it Europe as a traveller.

We stayed here after visiting Beauvais Cathedral. it is a really interesting chateau in a very quiet location. From what I was able to understand the owner is Iranian and has recruited Persian speaking Afghans to run the hotel and they did a good job (and spoke good French too). Chaumont-en-Vexin is very quiet in August and we ended up having to drive all the way over to Gisors to find a restaurant that was open for dinner.

We loved everything about our stay at Château de la Folie. Helene-Marie and Geoffrey are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome; they also took the time to give us lots of local information and details of places to visit. The breakfast was great, the room was huge, with a good sized bathroom, we loved the château.

    This was a great stopover for us returning from South of...

    This was a great stopover for us returning from South of France and heading for the Tunnel to cross to UK the next day. Everything was as we expected. Very clean, adequate for our needs. We had to eat in, it being a Monday and local reestaurants closed. Food available was basic, but the facilities onsite were limited. Staff were super helpful.
