Spacious house in quiet village. Excellent private secure parking behind locked gates.. Owner speaks excellent English. Charming original features. New fitted kitchen with gas hob fan oven dishwasher . Comfortable beds. Towels provided. Map provided. Details of local amenities available and lots of books and leaflets on things to do in the area. The owner was amazing. So very helpful! The facilities included a lounge and kitchen/diner, plus secure garage for our motorbikes. She even did us a great breakfast too! Amazing service and value for money.

Continental breakfast was provided each day with skewers of fruit. We had made an impulsive decision to take this break near the Somme and hadn’t revised enough of our French but our host spoke good English. The accommodation was actually a self contained spacious barn conversion. Unlike my grandfather in 1916 we completed the journey home…

Beautiful chateau located in a peaceful rural hamlet, superb setting. Bedrooms were fantastic. Our host was wonderful, she was hugely helpful and gave us a wonderful history of the chateau. We will return!

Location is fantastic for walking the Battlefields of WW1. I'm not brilliant at doing reviews, but this 'Gite' deserves a good try from me. The 'Gite' is like home from home, we couldn't fault it, it was superb, good WIFI, lovely kitchen with a brilliant Induction hob, (Going to have to get one in my house) fridge freezer, dish washer, washing machine, microwave, oven, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, etc etc, it's got everything you would need and it's all like new. The Dining area was also great, a nice big table, a perfect area to sit and have a nice bottle of red with a lovely home cooked meal in the evening. Lounge area, a nice comfy sofa, Tv, very comfortable. The 2 Bedrooms, (one ensuite) both again were spotless, lovely beds, a cracking bathroom upstairs next to bedroom 2, with a lovely large walk in shower, brilliant after a long walk. The photos on Booking.com, are accurate unlike some I could mention, what you see on here is what you get at Les Galets when you arrive, no sudden shocks, it's a superb 'Gite' and I for one will be back. The owners Cyril and Cathy are lovely folk, both speak French and English, they have done a superb job of renovation at the property, that good, I didn't want to leave! Can't really say any more than this, 100% brilliant! Thanks Cyril and Cathy.

We are travelling with a dog, the ladies on reception were very welcoming of him and, much to his delight, had biscuits for him! The location is great and the room is very comfortable. The restaurant was offering basic food because it was a Sunday evening but it was still very good.

Exeptional staff, friendly and helpful particularly Annaise on reception and the bar who offered to take us to our appointments in her car on her days off. She works above and beyond her duties and is an absolute gem. You should be extremely proud to have her as a staff member, she really made our stay something special.
