Location perfect as we needed an overnight stay on our way to the Alps. Easy to access from the main road. Served very good food so we were able to eat dinner without looking for anything else.

It was a perfect stop off for us for one night enroute to Calais. It was spacious and comfortable and had a lockable gate to the private parking. Good facilities for self catering and for a family of 5. Our youngest children liked the bunk beds.

Beautifully renovated house in lovely village. Outside courtyard garden is great for sitting out to eat etc. Added extras outside included 3 bikes to take in lovely surrounding countryside. Inside is beautiful and feels warm, comfortable and homely. Very well equipped. The very nice owner (Ludovic) popped in shortly after we arrived to check we were happy. Highly recommended, a great place to stay.

Perfect stay. We had everything we needed. The room and facilities are very proper and of good quality. The breakfast and supper were healthy and delicious. Isabelle and Michel are wonderful hosts: hospitable and freandly. Very quite nice place to stay in the French countryside. Very recommend!

We were two tired and hungry pilgrims on the Via Francigena who arrived without food due to another French public holiday in May and a lack of shops in the area. We also had difficulty finding accommodation and Bouconville-Vauclair is not on the designated route. The hostess, Magali, was simply outstanding. She offered to prepare us an evening meal – which was magnificent, and this was followed with a superb breakfast the next morning. The accommodation can more correctly described as a newly constructed self-contained unit with all amenities you require. Magali turned our brief stay into one of the highlights of our entire walk.     Like going back to an old fashioned French hotel. On arrival our keys were in the hallway as the lady of the hotel doesn't appear until about 18:30 but she was really friendly and made you feel at home. Bedroom was spacious and clean. Dinner menu was limited but with delicious food. The same with breakfast. This was really like returning to the France we love, not an anonymous chain hotel, but one with true character.

    A comfortable and friendly small hotel with a nostalgic feel. The staff made us feel very welcome. Tasty evening meal and very comfortable bed. Easy drive from the A26 but make sure you exit at Laon and not Rheims, unless you want a roundabout ( and pretty) drive through the countryside.

    The accommodation was in a great location for getting Paris. There was lots of bars and cafes and you could to attractions like Notre Dame from the hotel. There was also a metro very near to the hotel
