Both Collette & Albert were very kind and superb hosts. We would 100% return if in the area again. The sleep was amazing ...the beautiful smell of the open fire, and meeting our wonderful hosts was an amazing welcome after a long journey!! Highly recommend this stay! Excellent stay at this B&B to break up our journey on our way back to the UK. Arrived a lot earlier than expected but were able to contact the property and check-in early.  Made very welcome with coffee and home made cake. We opted for an evening meal and weren't disappointed.  Traditional Beef Borguignon with fresh bread, then Crepes with lemon sauce. All home made. Full English breakfast plus yoghurt and cereal in the morning. (Both hosts are trained chefs!) They have recently taken over this property and fully updated it. The room was large and very comfortable.  Large bathroom with great shower.  The swimming pool area is meant to be closed for the winter but due to the ongoing good weather it was still open, so we spent a couple of hours around the pool in glorious sunshine.  We walked in to the town early evening. Uphill on the way but took about 15 minutes and easy enough. Large supermarket and a couple of bars. There are also lovely walks and cycle routes around the area.  The river Tardoire which runs at the bottom of the garden is available for fishing (not our thing, but was a very peaceful place to sit with a glass of wine) We cannot praise this B&B enough. Great hosts, the most amazing food and all for a very good price. We really wished we had booked for longer.

Chris and Trace were the perfect hosts. A warm welcome on arrival, happy to assist with anything (they arranged taxis for me which was a huge help); nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was beautifully presented and was delicious. A very comfy bed and large bathroom. I had a lovely swim in the pool within the extensive gardens. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chris, Trace and their very pretty home.

What we liked the most were the hosts, Kate and Peter. They were kind and really helpful! The breakfast was amazing and the tea and pie they offered at our arrival, excellent!

This place is unforgettable! I stay in these types of properties often as I work with several château’s for destination weddings. This place will always stand out for how beautiful the property is, the house and its decor and how exceptionally kind and welcoming the hosts are. It is next level!! Truly an experience worth having again!! The pictures do not do it justice and the hospitality is unmatched.

Fantastic location! Beautiful castle on a beautiful estate! But above all a great hostess! We enjoyed the castle visit with secret corners, nice anecdotes about previous residents and from the hostess herself. The breakfast was excellent and very extensive! There is a beautiful library, there are rooms where you can play ping pong, darts, pool, billiards, games and even do a workout.
