I loved being in a really old building with the ancient exposed beams. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It was wonderful to have a comfortable lounge chair. Breakfast was very good with exceptional bread. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. It was in a perfect position for my walk on the GR2.

We couldn't have asked for a better place en route back to the UK. Everything was perfect and we loved the animals and the farm. We wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back! Thank you so much.

What an absolutely amazing place to stay. The house is enormous and incredibly well fitted out. 2 lovely large bedrooms, huge kitchen/diner and modern bathroom. The patio and garden is perfect for sitting outside day or night with the addition of a BBQ for cooking. Essoyes is a beautiful little town in the lesser visited Core de Bar region of Champagne, there's lots of independent producers to visit nearby, lovely cafe, restaurant, boulangerie etc and a supermarket a short drive away. I hope to visit again and spend some more time.

A beautiful newly renovated Gite. Loads of space, comfy beds, pillows and good linen. Two beautiful bathrooms and very well equipped kitchen with great quality appliances and all the mod-cons. An incredibly comfortable stay. Also secure gated parking. It’s a beautiful village for a stroll, there is a shop, and a tabac/cafe/bar two mins walk away.

We felt very welcome. Liliane was a perfect host. She prepared some wonderful food although we arrived very late. The villa is very stylishly decorated, and everything you need is provided in the room and bathroom. You get good value for your money.

Jerome and his family are the 7th generation to run their champagne vineyard. This small apartment is literally brand new and is located right on their property. It's got a super high fit and finish but be careful if you are tall since the bed is located in the loft and it's super tight if you are tall. We utilized the loft and the comfy couch bed and really enjoyed our stay. He gives you keys to their auto gates and parking is behind the gates. Hard to beat the price since it's smack in the middle of the champagne producers region.

The breakfast was excellent eaten on the covered terrace in the garden. The room is part of the owners property on the side so you have complete privacy.Everything is to a high spec, practical but tastefully done, the hosts go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The garden is for you as their guests. We stayed one night as travelling South but still felt so welcome . We choose to have a picnic supper, which we expected to eat sat on our picnic blanket , but no, there is a 2 seater bistro set you can move to where you want to sit. Our host provided plates and cutlery and opened our wine for us!( cork screw packed somewhere in our car). A perfect place to eat and enjoy the last of the day after travelling. We will definitely back if we have the opportunity. We would certainly recommend Coin Perdu.
