The location was perfect. The room was very spatious and light. The bed was excellent - loved it. The breakfast was delicious. Every day it was slightly different. Nice suprise. We were able to use the fridge which was helpfull.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this fascinating place. Our room was spacious and well furnished, with a minibar, bathroom with both shower and bathtub, and a very comfortable double bed. The windows had mosquito nets which we have found very few places to offer. One of us used the pool despite inclement weather, and the family immediately helped her with towels. The breakfast was excellent. And of course - the lady running the chateaux is an absolute star. She had bought gluten free bread for me for breakfast! She was also extremely helpful and had many suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We did a day trip to Chateaux Chenonceaux with a lunch stop i Tours.

The characterful room at Le Clos des Roses with beams and stone fireplace was part of an ancient converted building in the garden of the main house. Decorated to a very high standard it was spacious and comfortable and included a large bed, 2 chairs and a small table. The en-suite wet room was modern and clean with a separate toilet. Breakfast served in the house was exceedingly good and plentiful: meats, cheeses, breads, pastries and delicious home made jams. Our hosts Maryline and Eric were charming - very helpful and friendly, providing lots of information about the surrounding area. Everything was perfect!

The place is magnificent. We had wonderful time there and it was a pleasure to spend time with the wonderful Laurence, who provided useful information about the region. The atmosphere is amaizing. The quality of the service too.

Fantastic Gite walking distance to Lac L'homme, which has inflatables, paddle boards etc to hire, a lovely beach and restaurant. The Gite is great value for money, lovely old farm building with a pretty garden. Flexible accomodation. We have 4 children ranging 7 to 17 and it worked perfectly. Lots to see and do close by including a great tree top experience in Rille. Samaur is 40 mins away and is a pretty medieval town on the Loire river. Lots to do here and a great selection of restaurants.

    The house is very comfortable and spacious (we were there with 2 people). Great bed, fully equipped kitchen, large shower area, and roomy sitting area / kitchen, all on the same floor. There is a terrace outside as well – which we have not used. We have used this house to visit Tours (about 45 min drive), Castle of Villandry (beautiful gardens), Castle of Azay-le-Rideau and the Abbey of Fontevraud (all of these with 30-45min by car). There is a castle in Gizeux as well (which we have not visited).
