Incredibly friendly staff and most of all: really exceptional value for money. Our three-bed family room was spotlessly clean and I'd like to especially mention the high-pressure-shower (which is rare these days but feels sooo nice in the morning before a long-hour drive). There's cold draught beer available from the bar and even a fresh tasty pizza for hungry kids (or adults). Excellent, easy (and safe) free parking right outside the hotel entry. The hotel is located in a very quiet and beautiful green area (though restaurant(s) and a supermarket are just a 2-minute-drive away). Having stayed in hundreds of hotels in my lifetime, this one is easily among my Top 30 (even if it's a "budget hotel"). Completely recommended in every aspect.

Lovely little place to stay during our drive over to Portugal. The host was friendly, and her place was well presented, quiet and cosy! We will be booking again when we do our return journey back ☺️🙏🏼 They also accommodated our four cats, which was much appreciated

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy and authentic setting. The rooms were excellent, and the breakfast was superb, especially enjoyed in the beautiful breakfast area. It's the perfect place for a weekend getaway and exploring the region. The owner's communication was also excellent. Highly recommended!

    don't be fooled by the picture of the hotel you stay in the hayloft room, above the café and shop, the room was large and very rustic, however the town is lovely and the restaurant was first class, lovely for a 1night stay, we used this location to break our journey up after a 400 mile trip back to catch the Eurotunnel the next day
