A lovely room opening out on to our own patch by the river. Food was excellent and served at a good pace. Our hosts were most welcoming and attentive.Breakfast was ample and there was a good selection. A quite break away.

The thoughtful and caring attitude of François, the owner. He offered us bikes with maps, made us a beautiful breakfast each morning, an apéritif in the evening, a Cruise down the canal in the evening and à free massage. Such treatment! The room was very comfortable and clean with all conveniences, set in a lovely garden with swimming pool.

Welcoming, friendly, helpful hosts who will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. The gite had everything you could need for your stay. We chose to have dinner in the evening and it was excellent and good value at €30 per person.

A beautiful house and location... What a charming and peaceful place. The guest quarters are very spacious, comfortable and well designed with many thoughtful touches. Marans is an excellent location for us as it exactly halfway between our house in the Dordogne and St Malo ferry port. We love both these apartments, they're very well-designed for use by two people and the garden court yard is a bonus.

Casa Upada was just beautiful, the host was lovely and the room was exactely like the photos on Booking.com, absolutely nothing to dislike at all. The old Roman theme was quite unique and the shower room was the largest I have ever been in. The hosts had thought of everything and the breakfast was just superb, truely a 10 out of 10. At last the weather permited a swim.
