It was a privilege to discover such a beautifully restored historical building. The room we stayed in was huge with very comfortable beds. No TV or clutter. Welcoming hosts. Would love to stay longer next time. Ideal spot for painting or photography.

Lovely clean room Outdoor patio I have to agree with all of the positive reviews The owners went above and beyond to make our stay special We had a wonderful dinner which included wine on the patio Breakfast the next day with fresh bread. Fruit, eggs, yogurt and fresh preserves was wonderful We were treated to fresh tomatoes from the garden to take with us which we used every lunchtime for the rest of our holiday Thank you Michel and Patricia

What a nice, charming, relaxing, quiet place to stay. Really friendly and helpful hosts. Fully equipped with separate kitchen. Enough parking space. Good breakfast, all in all reasonably priced. Liked it a lot and will consider it when coming through this area of France the next time!

Beautiful restored castle. Large rooms. Quiet location. On the grounds of the castle are also a large number of beautiful racing horses. Excellent breakfast. We also enjoyed the large swimming pool.

Cyril was a great host. He welcomed us in and showed us our room and the shared facilities (kitchen, games room, patio...) In the garden, the jacuzzi is 5 stars as is the pool. The room is large and all 4 of us slept comfortably. We found parking very near the front door.

    This is a very rural location in the heart of "Deep France"...

    This is a very rural location in the heart of "Deep France" where agriculture drives the economy, including vineyards not far away. To appreciate it, you need to be charmed by the site of creamy Charolais cattle grazing in fields and ducks flapping noisily across ponds. (We are!). It is little more than a hamlet, made up of buildings from the former abbey so one has to go to nearby St Pourcain or Vichy for any kind of commerce. We ate at Snack Le Will, near the big church in St Pourcain. It was a Monday evening, so most of the restaurants were having a night off. Le Will is unpretentious with its "cowboy"-themed decor but the food (pizzas, burgers and big healthy salads) was surprisingly good, home-made with locally-sourced ingredients. Excellent friendly service too.
