I was surprised by the appearance of the room and en-suite loo and shower space which I would describe as 'state of the art'. Clearly there has been a recent refurb and the management has quite rightly invested in the most important element of the hotel for guests - the bedrooms. Well done!

The location of this hotel is really excellent. Very close to the Motorway but not having the noise of the Motorway. The hotel is located very close to restaurants, a large Lidl and even a Bowling! What else could we ask from a hotel? :-)

We stopped to break our drive to Italy, was perfect for what we needed, the staff were so helpful and room spotless , top tip.... Travelling from Paris side Maps will take you 30 km extra to double back if you take exit 20 there is a slip road that brings you hotel saving 40 mins driving!!

    A superb hotel. We stayed 4 nights in a 2-storey townhouse facing the pool and the chateau environment was spectacular. We did day trips each day to nearby places of interest -- Vezelay with its beautiful church at the top of the hill, Fontenay Abbey, Avallon, and the picturesque city of Auxerre only a 15 minute drive away. Breakfasts were fine; bed was comfy; free parking on site.

    The breakfast was good, but not special and not as impressive as other hotels we stayed in on this trip. The location was nice, but isolated. The building was an impressive old chateau but lacked warmth and atmosphere.
