very cosy appartment, functional and clean. The place is nicely decorated and situated in a quiet village bordering vineyards. it has a lovely seating area in the garden. The beds are very comfortable and the shower has good pressure. Our hosts were very accommodating and non-invasive.

Walking Via Francigena, was a good overnight stop. Morgan was very helpful on nearby visits and where to eat and get food. We had an excellent breakfast with additional fresh orange juice and homemade yoghurt.

Our host was exceptional. She looked after us and our dog Scooby incredibly well. She gave us great guidance for the local attractions and champagne tasting. The Gite was very confortable and the breakfast was amazing. Unfortunately we arrived too late for Fondue on Fridays which is an event. There is a gift shop with a cafe where you can sample local produce. Hermonville is small only three restaurants including the Grange, Piccolo for Pizza and a traditional French restaurant. The village is charming and has a brilliant boulangerie with faboulous cakes amd fresh baguettes. Its the perfect location to discover the Champagne region. We stayed two nights and wish we haved stayed longer.
