The town is not large but is quite beautiful if you enjoy a traditional fishing port with nice restaurants, bars and shops. O'Plan B restaurant owned by our hotel host is particularly good. Port-en-Bessin is a small fishing village that has a wide range of restaurants and small hotels. It is easy to get to from Caen port and is good as a base to visit local beaches and other areas of historic interest. Great little fishing Port. Lots to see and do. Seafood Restaurants cannot be beaten ans great selection of them. Excellent location for travelling out to various museums and the local museum is a stunning collection recovered from the sea by a local diver who's lifetime's work is displayed ,from uniform buttons to FULL TANKS. Omaha Beach GC is one of the most demanding in the area with cliff top views of the beach. I have stayed here for over 10 years without regret.Guest review byjeffUnited Kingdom

Staff all very polite and helpful. Room as required, twin beds, which were very comfortable, bathroom / toilet good, towels changed daily when room serviced. Room small but not an issue. Continental breakfast good range of food items to choose from. Small bar which was acceptable. Car park at rear very good. Nice 'port' town with good range of small restaurants etc for evening meals. Reception staff were very welcoming, friendly and had a good spot to store our bikes. The room was extremely comfortable with a big bed and a modern bathroom. When we arrived the owner upgraded us to a sea view so we looked out over the harbour. Although the hotel is in the town it was very quiet at night and we slept well.
