It was located in a small and very peaceful village. The house was so beautiful and neat. The yard was perfect for BBQ dinner or just sit outside and shipping your wine. Inside was also a perfect mix of old and modern. I really loved that place.

The location was great for our needs having come over from Portsmouth to Caen, there is plenty of parking in yhe square outside the hotel. The Hotel is run by a Brother and Sister who are fantastic at making you feel welcome and the food is great.

The decoration of the house is amazing! Like living in the fairytale or indeed in a Wonderland:) The jacuzzi and sauna are very comfortable and nice, during the night you can enjoy the stars because there are no big cities around and during the day you can look at the green field and forest in front of the house. The surrounding area is great to have a walk or to run. And the owner is a very lovely lady who lives nearby and can help you with everything

First of all - this is not a high end luxury place to stay. It’s very quirky. Very French. And quite simple. It wouldn’t suit everyone. BUT… we thought it perfect. It is absolutely charming, the hosts are a complete delight and the welcome overwhelmingly warm. The location is very rural - outside of a small village ( with few, if any amenities) but it makes a terrific base to explore the surrounding area (lots to see and do). The garden is beautiful. As are the views. The house is well equipped and immaculately clean. But it is the hosts who REALLY make it. A delightful couple - we arrived late after a long journey and we hadn’t eaten. No problem - our hosts conjured up fresh bread, eggs, yoghurt and an excellent bottle of cider. We needed to leave early and they both waved us off like close friends. We shall be back. Thank you Chantal and Bernard.

Les Rocsilles is a gem of a place in beautiful calm, quiet valley. The room I stayed in was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. I had an idyllic 3 days here and will certainly return.
