This hotel serves the purpose of an overnight stay on route to the Channel ports but nothing more. Accommodation is basic but as expected and everything worked as it should. Restaurant menu was very basic with not much choice (only three main courses available at the time of my stay). Breakfast was better. I thought the staff could have been better dressed: casual clothes, no uniform or identification. If you're looking for luxury and fine dining, look elsewhere but , for most travellers, this hotel serves its purpose at this price. It's a chain hotel next to a retail park close to a busy road. For an over night stop, or a couple of nights it is perfect, there are shops and bars, and small streets to explore. The town is clean and very friendly. There is an emphasis to assist English speaking visitors, more so than some of the smaller villages in France, this did not distract from its uniqueness and was helpful as an overnight stop.Guest review byThompson - 4.0

Be careful about where you eat, the nearby restaurants are poor by French standards. Do your research first and book somewhere away from the main square. Saint-Quentin was a stopover on our way to Autun, then St Etienne and beyond by car. Therefore, we were more than happy to get a chance to visit the impressive Basilica, and have a very pleasant early evening drink on the terrace in a nearby popular bar. I really enjoyed speaking with senior citizens, and heard about how lovely it was to live in such a place in St. Quentin. I have never before encountered a place of sheltered accommodation with a hotel, and i thought it was interesting for travellers and residents alike.
