Location perfect as we needed an overnight stay on our way to the Alps. Easy to access from the main road. Served very good food so we were able to eat dinner without looking for anything else.

It was a perfect stop off for us for one night enroute to Calais. It was spacious and comfortable and had a lockable gate to the private parking. Good facilities for self catering and for a family of 5. Our youngest children liked the bunk beds.

Beautifully renovated house in lovely village. Outside courtyard garden is great for sitting out to eat etc. Added extras outside included 3 bikes to take in lovely surrounding countryside. Inside is beautiful and feels warm, comfortable and homely. Very well equipped. The very nice owner (Ludovic) popped in shortly after we arrived to check we were happy. Highly recommended, a great place to stay.

Perfect stay. We had everything we needed. The room and facilities are very proper and of good quality. The breakfast and supper were healthy and delicious. Isabelle and Michel are wonderful hosts: hospitable and freandly. Very quite nice place to stay in the French countryside. Very recommend!

We were two tired and hungry pilgrims on the Via Francigena who arrived without food due to another French public holiday in May and a lack of shops in the area. We also had difficulty finding accommodation and Bouconville-Vauclair is not on the designated route. The hostess, Magali, was simply outstanding. She offered to prepare us an evening meal – which was magnificent, and this was followed with a superb breakfast the next morning. The accommodation can more correctly described as a newly constructed self-contained unit with all amenities you require. Magali turned our brief stay into one of the highlights of our entire walk.     An excellent stop over.

    An excellent stop over. Location was close to the motorway but was quiet and had good parking. Aga was very welcoming and considerate. She spoke excellent English and provided a very good evening meal as well as breakfast.

    We had a very warm welcome.

    We had a very warm welcome. The property is very well kept and looks very pretty. The host offers an evening meal which is good value and was excellent. The parking was on the property, behind gates that were closed in the evening and overnight. Very secure. The property was easy to find and will certainly stay for longer on our next visit.

    It is such a nice place it felt wrong just staying one night...

    It is such a nice place it felt wrong just staying one night. We felt guilty leaving but our journey down to Nice meant we could not stay longer. It would be a lovely place for a stay of 3 to 4 nights. So close to some beautiful places.
