I think that this is a former chain hotel, now run by a lovely couple with a very friendly little dog. The garden is very pleasant to sit out in, unlike most cheap hotels. Quiet despite being 100 meters off a busy road.

A lovely large modern bedroom in a large solid sandstone farmhouse. Room had a fridge and a kettle as well as a pod coffee machine. Windows were double glazed and had closing shutters on the outside. There was plenty of wardrobe and storeage space. There was a small marble topped table that we coud use to eat at. Being a single farmhouse in the coutryside it was exceptionally quiet. The breakfast included a wide range of breakfast foods to suit all tastes. The host was very friendly and helpful and spent many hours trying to get a dental appontment for me after I chipped a tooth.

The building is beautiful and so very tastefully decorated. The location, albeit very isolated, is absolutely stunningly beautiful. The home made pancakes, homemade prune marmalade were gorgeous.

We had a fantastic stay with Linda & Andrew in their newly refurbished château which is very tastefully done. The room was exceptionally large, beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed. We arrived on a bank holiday with most restaurants being closed, Linda kindly offered to cook us a delightful meal and we sat but the cosy fire. Would highly recommend staying here, thanks.

The cottage was most serviceable for our needs. Very peaceful location. And beautiful scenery. There seemed to be everything you would need. It really was just a place to sleep for us as I was working In the area, so we wernt there long enough to appreciate it. Solonge was a lovely host and I think she would help you you with most things. Lots of walks and cycling routes and not far from a town .where there are lots of places to eat. A lovely place to get out of the city.
