Such an incredible stay we decided to stay again, beautiful location and house, perfect room both warm and comfortable with all you need, fast internet, cosy beds, lots of room, clean, tidy, quite. Horse riding available and a great fire warmed pub up the road. Fantastic hosts that we had a lovely chat with, couldn't do enough for us such a great family run place. Will be recommending to friends and family.

We unfortunately stay at the pentre riding stables which are not fit to stay in, when we walked in we started to find somewhere else to stay and understand why you don't get a refund because no one would pay to stay here. I walked over the road to the CRAIG-Y- NOS CASTLE. Which is an absolutely beautiful building and the staff are fantastic, unfortunately the had a wedding on so everything was booked. There is one particular young lady who works there, who's birthday was on Saturday May 14. She was absolutely fantastic and so helpful, she does the castle proud unfortunately I don't know her name

Was a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside or partake in horse riding with the adjoining stables. Not a huge amount to do if you are looking for nightlife ect. Ideal country retreat with the Brecon Beacons on your doorstep.

Abercraf is a great little village and a lovely base for exploring the Brecon beacons, whether on foot, by public transport or by Motorbike / Car. There are some very scenic roads nearby. We used it as a base for our motorbike holiday that included the Triumph Adventure Experience that is based in the nearby town of Ystradgynlais.

Places to visit and walk, the caves ( Dan-yr-Ogof) are a must, you could easily spend a full day there and the country walks were enjoyable. we found a lovely little pub that did delicious food called The Gwyn Arms that I highly recommend. The place is easy to find and provided parking for the car.

Staff very welcoming but the accommodation, although clean, is very basic with a DIY breakfast. Noise from barking dogs in the kennels mean you can't open the windows, which makes the room very hot at night. Mattresses are low quality and you can feel the springs. £100 for one night for a family of 4 with a DIY breakfast isn't value for money in my book. But I did make poached eggs in the microwave! But they weren't runny though ☹️. Ate at the Gwn Inn up the road, beware, last orders for food is 6.45pm! Basic pub food, was ok, but all meals around £14 mark.

Very helpful obliging host. The cottage was perfect with very comfortable beds and lounge furniture. Kitchen was fully equipped with useful items like measuring jugs which arent in many holiday properties. We particularly liked the walking route opposite the property heading straight over the hill towards Abercraf and down to the river so that was a great start to go walking especially after a long car journey to get there. Would definitely like to stay there again.

Disappointing - What previous guests thought, 402 reviews
The atmosphere is quite pleasant. The room was clean and warm. There is heating even in summer. The place looks more like a camp for children than a guesthouse or hotel. Not a bad option to spend one night. There is also a kettle and tea in the room. There is always boiling water in the kitchen. There is also a microwave and a toaster.

Fabulous property, generous hosts who left a welcome hamper which was filled with luxury items as well as necessary ones and which was a lovely surprise. Felt like a boutique hotel but with home comforts and better still we could take our dog.
