Rooms are opulent and very comfortable beds. Beautiful building and staff are extremely helpful without being over bearing. I loved this hotel and am annoyed I couldn't stay longer.

We found the hotel and staff to be very good for the amount of money, also a very good breakfast included. We did have one small hiccup but the manager took time to talk to us and resolve.

I was looking for an accomodation during my work trip in Witham and since I arrived at Oakwrights I felt at home. Lorna and Noel are lovely persons and the tiny home they offer is an authentic jewel, surrounded by Essex's country, with the full possibility to relax walking through the countryside (like I did on Sunday). The house has all the amenities, including a very well equipped kitchen, a dishwasher and a washing machine and grants you a peaceful stay.

    Boreham was a useful base from which to visit other places...

    Boreham was a useful base from which to visit other places in Essex. We visited Brentwood, Saffron Walden, Billericay, Chelmsford, & Langford. We also went across to Kent and visited Hadlow. Boreham has two pub/restaurants, the Six Bells and the Lion, but for the one night on which we ate out, we drove 10 minutes to the Square & Compasses, Fuller Street. For incidental groceries Boreham has a Co-op about 10 minutes walk from the property, and for serious grocery shopping, a large Sainsburys 10 minutes drive.
