A super friendly hotel with staff who couldn’t do enough to help. Quiet location. Great dinner location and breakfast as well. I ran a zoom call from my room and WiFi was just strong enough. Super location and cosy room. Highly recommend.

Disdow House is in a beautiful setting with spectacular views. The house itself, has been done to a very high standard and quality. It is incredibly well equipped and has everything you could need and more. It's a fabulous entertaining space for a large group, allowing everyone to socialise together in one, open plan space, with incredible views as your backdrop. The bedrooms are all spacious with large beds, quality bedding allowing for a comfortable sleep. From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to have a great family break and they even had 2x christmas trees to make our December get away even more special. Location is the perfect balance of being secluded in your immediate surroundings to enjoy the privacy, whilst being close enough to the village where you will find bars, restaurants and some lovely gift shops. I could continue with even more that I loved about Disdow House!

    Borgue is rural so definitely need bikes or car to get around. However if you want to stay in the same place it’s perfect for walking, bird watching and just chilling out in the garden. Everyone is very friendly and the local borgue hotel is great for a refreshing drink and bar meal and they also welcome dogs in the bar. A very memorable hamlet inbetween kirkudbright and gatehouse of fleet.
