It was a long journey to get there, but completely worthy. The staff were really friendly, the rooms had simple decoration, but practical and comfortable. The location was dreamy, in front of a beautiful lake and also close to interesting places to visit (our daughter got car sick, which meant we limited long journeys on the island, and we still managed to see and do plenty of things). Mouthwatering food at the restaurant as well as nice staff (we had both breakfast and lunch there). They serve traditional comfy food, but not greasy. My father is quite close-minded when it comes to trying new dishes, but he was delighted with the food (we all were). In summary, excellent place to spend some family holidays.

great hotel, amazing location but more importantly really really nice people. the hosts were super accommodating to our needs as cyclists, with great communication throughout with care and patience. they also went out of their way to help with our onward journey.

Unrivalled views blew us away on arrival. Beautiful and thoughtful finishes to all aspects of the room - a truly luxurious experience. Elly was really helpful when we needed some assistance. Marina was an excellent host. She was warm and kind, and a great cook. The breakfast she served was restaurant quality! The room was so well furnished and elegant, and the whole house had a lovely smell of candles. The breakfast room was also very refined. It was just such a nice stay. Thanks Marina!

I had the most wonderful stay with my dog. We arrived in ice and snow and were welcomed by a warm and toasty house. The cottage was cosy, functional and with outstanding views. I would and could have not asked for more - we explored all parts of Lewis and Harris and enjoyed evenings by the fire. It was a perfect base to marvel and discover this stunning corner of the world.
