In the heart of Buxton, near the Opera house, surrounded by mountains and national parks. Buxton is a lovely town, and The Vault is perfect for the stay, with nice, well decorated rooms with spotlessly clean and modern bathrooms. Felt very secure with lots of private gates to enter before getting to the room. Many places to eat nearby and on-site. There are lots of things to do in Buxton. Beautiful town to explore and sightseeing. There is a parking lot right in front of the Vault and some parking spaces around the property. Definitely would come back.

The cottage was lovely, enough heaters to keep everyone warm after their long day walking in the snow. It was spacious with 2 lounges which was great if you're a family. The fire was an extra bonus - so cosy! Rooms just what is needed and spacious bathroom. Ian was lovely in helping us find the cottage, location is great for walks. Very peaceful, we will be visiting again. Thank you! ☺️

Kingscroft is a wonderful place to visit by itself, given the fascinating decor and charismatic hosts. The rooms were quiet, comfortable, and the facilities clean. We had a great nights sleep. The pre-ordered breakfasts offered a wide selection of cold and hot breakfast items, highly adjustable to one's preferences. The hosts further provided us with recommendations of local restaurants and activities.

We enjoyed Buxton, was surprised at the lack of Indian restaurants- only one and when we rang it closed at 9pm - there is two separate “bar” areas one at the top of the hill and one with micro bars at the other.

We came for the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Festival, but it is a wonderful centre for hikers as well with a beautiful park. Helps if you like hills! A huge choice of places to eat around the market place. 5 pubs, restaurants of many nationalities and lovely tea rooms.

We have visited Buxton for several years, primarily for performances in the Opera House/Theatre. There are several very good restaurants. The quality of accommodation varies and one needs to read the descriptions carefully. It is an interesting and busy small town well worth visiting.

    Lovely walk around the town.

Lovely walk around the town. Beautiful buildings and stunning architecture. The Dome at the college is well worth a visit. We followed a heritage trail which told you all about the history of the buildings. There were plenty of places to eat and drink. We walked up to Solomon's Temple through the country park. Beautiful views at the top. We passed pool's cavern on the way back to town where you can get a guided tour.

Everything about the Hotel was fantastic, the lovely old building sits proudly on a small hill and looks down on Buxton. The reception area, seating areas, stair case were superb, such a beautiful old historic building. The staff we found were all friendly and helpful, when we asked for guidance. Superb breakfast, we at out at night so cant comment on dinner. We were upgraded to a two bed roomed suite, absolutely superb, thank you The Palace Hotel

The property was perfect, Immaculate and beautifully furnished. The location is central across the road from the Buxton opera house and we found free parking only around the corner. Everything you could wish for. I do prefer apartments to hotels and this certainly didn’t disappoint. Thank you for the lovely biscuits, Prosecco and milk in the fridge very thoughtful and the roses. It’s the little jesters that mean a lot. We will definitely return.

Room & interior of the hotel was spotlessly clean, warm welcome, lots of little extras, sweets left out, signs in prominent places, extra bottled water etc, internet worked well, good breakfast, great location for Buxton Market Square - on & off street parking available. For me the big question is always - Would I stay there again, in this case 100% Yes.

Brilliant stay at the Westminister Hotel. Our room was clean, tidy and very warm. It had everything we needed. The breakfasts were tremendous. The people who owned the hotel and the people who worked there were very hospitable. If we are around the Buxton area in the future, we would love to stay here again.
