Wonderful in every way. Everything was brand new with nothing too much trouble for the staff. High quality decor in the room and a power shower. The bed was so comfortable. Everything you need in the room including a microwave and fridge. Overlooking beautiful gardens and the park. Everything was very clean and the parking was right outside. Will be back again soon. Friendly area with a lovely little pub about a one minute walk.

Bed very comfortable - slept well. The shower was hot with good pressure and I found the oldy worldliness of the place to be quaint and in keeping. The room and ensuite were perfectly clean and the staff polite.

Had a wonderful 2-night stay with friends and family! The host contacted us with clear instructions on check-in. They were also very responsive to any queries. The place was clean, especially given its size! Lots of space for everyone, bathrooms clean and beds comfortable. Our party of 2 families had enough space to gather and enough space for ourselves which was really ideal. Children really enjoyed the nearby field and the view of the surrounding areas was amazing. Lots of recommendations, including a better route to drive to Tintagel, were included in the guide meticulously prepared by the hosts. Had a great stay - thank you very much!

    We loved having a whole self-contained flat to ourselves. It was quiet and Poppy is a very friendly host. The bathroom is nice and spacious with bath and shower but could do with better lighting and a larger mirror.

    As a Camelfordian I return annually to attend the service...

    As a Camelfordian I return annually to attend the service held on or close to Remembrance Day in early November. The Countryman Hotel(I know it under it's previous name Sunnyside Hotel) is welcoming and a very restful place to stay. Thank you

    Camelford itself I'd say was ok, but it's location in relation to places like tintagel, Bude, port Isaac and Padstow is second to none, not to mention the countless little bays and beaches on the north coast it's a great base spot with all a short drive away.

    It was clean, comfy, with everything we could need in a peaceful green location. Breakfast available if you wanted, welcoming touches such as mini bottle of local milk, books available and a proper door to the clean and well appointed shower room/toilet. Everything was in working order.

    Camelford was a nice place and there was a lovely walk in...

    Camelford was a nice place and there was a lovely walk in the park along by a river and it was near to the places we wanted to go to which were Tintagel, Port Issac and Bos castle and we had some very nice meals out as well. I would definitely stay there again as it was so relaxing.

    A lovely charming property. You must remember that this is a very old Victorian property and must be regarded as so! Facilities and rooms were just as expected. Perfect to have parking and easy to find in Camelford. A great stop passing Tintagel, Boscastle and Port Isaac. Breakfasts were homemade and lovely - we were well fuelled for the day ahead. Owners were very kind to us and made sure we were well accommodated for.

    We enjoyed our stay at the Darlington Hotel. The hotel is quirky with a lot of character and history and we enjoyed its uniqueness. It has a nice central location in Camelford. We enjoyed fish and chips while listening to sea shantys by the town bandstand The hotel was amazing value.
