We enjoyed a very tasty dinner in the restaurant as well as breakfast in the more casual area next morning. The room was well appointed though not a lot of floor space for our 2 large suitcases. There was very easy access from the car. The breakfast had plenty of choice and make your own cappuccino etc machines as well as boiling water for tea.

The staff and owner were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble even though I was very late checking in. My room albeit small had every facility and everything was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly- will definitely stay again and excellent value. Real old world British charm to the place and free parking ! Nice to stay at a charming venue.

The Three Tuns hotel is a lovely Welsh Pub right beside the Chepstow Castle and the Eye River with England just across the birdge. Room 4 has its own entrance from the road and is delightful. It has a small kitchenette (microwave, jug & sink, but no fridge or stove), good heaters, good water pressure and and great hot water. We were permitted to keep our touring bikes in the room with us. The included full Welsh breakfast really got us going the next day. We would stay again.

Chepstow is "picture-book town" with cobble stoned, narrow winding roads, lined by beautiful terraced houses, each front-door in different colour. Countless flower-pedestals, flowerpots and troughs everywhere in public spaces - are all overwhelming "charm-overdrive" for the senses. The amassing people of Chepstow are genuinely welcoming, with their broadest smiles from the heart. IT WAS LIKE BEING LOST IN A CHILDREN'S STORY BOOK. We kept singing `Balamory....' everywhere we went in Chepstow. Colin’s ice-cream shop serves LOVE & HAPPINESS with their ice-cream. Chepstow Castle, Museum, the Old Wye Bridge, The Riverside Pub - with live music bouncing off the rock-face of the cliff across the river, The Boat Inn with their lovely food, St Mary's Church with its beautiful architecture of the past - They all come to gather, to create a land of magic. CHEPSTOW IS A DREAM YOU DON'T WANT TO WAKE UP FROM. Do go and experience this hidden world of charm.

I lived in the Chepstow area for over 30 years and was visiting having moved away 7 years ago. It has changed in those years mainly because of the Severn Bridge tolls being removed and people moving in from the cities close by. There are more bars and restaurants there now to meet the needs of the increased population but the town itself feels in need of some TLC. It's still a great location for visiting the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley areas though and you can easily get the train to Gloucester, Cheltenham and Cardiff so is great as a base for visiting other places.

An interesting place, a short walk to the castle with good parking facilities. Quite hilly for walking, a great italian restaurant about 100 yard walk, a busy pub across the road. Has a railway station not far away. A 20 minute drive into Bristol - over the Severn Bridge.

The Castle was quite an experience in itself and we loved the free community museum down the street. Allow a couple of hours to see everything. If you walk halfway across the old bridge you can take a photo with one foot in Wales and the other in England. There are fun seal sculptures by the riverside near a little park with lovely flowering trees and daffodils (Spring).

Elizabeth was amazing! Very welcoming, approachable and accommodating. She was also very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast is £10 per person & worth the money. We couldn't find where to book breaksfat on booking.com however contacted Elizabeth before our arrival to be told we can book and pay for breakfast once there. The room was comfortable, cozy and clean. Good local pub over the road for food and a drink. & Chepstow Racecourse of course.

It was a very, very, late booking, due to trains not running/cancelled, so we ( my partner , my mate, and I ), had no choice, but to book a hotel, B & B, we thought this hotel was in great location, in the town centre. Room, was fine, seemed strange, as we didn't have any overnight things, , and my mate staying in same room ! But worked out fine. Breakfast was good Bed/s were comfy

Beautifully decorated spacious house with all the amenities you need. A gorgeous sun trap of a back garden too. Ideal location for a walk into the town centre, castle, river or race course. Host was quick to respond to any queries. Also had off street parking which is a big bonus for Chepstow.
