What an exceptional place to stay. We were heartily welcomed and shown to a delightful room with en suite facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. Dinner was very high quality with some very tasty and well made options on the menu. Breakfast also was very, very good. There are some lovely walks out onto the marshes or to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and will stay there again.

I don't know how I should express how wonderful this hotel is. From the warm welcome over the breakfast to the lovely bedrooms there was all perfect. We never have been to a better hotel. The room was nice and cosy. You can make tea or coffee for a perfekt start in the day. The breakfast was delicous. You can order outside the menue. The scramble eggs were delicous. You can alos have fresh fruit, toast and bread, joghurt and many more. Im the evening or the day over you can sit in the garden or the patio and have a drink. In the afternoon you can enjoy a cream tea. If you are in the area stay in this hotel. This is an unforgettable experience.

We liked almost everything : beautiful hotel; lovely interior design; very clean; beds very comfortable!! We loved the swimming pool & sauna & the system of booking the pool! Excellent idea! Garden was gorgeous too! Everyone working at the hotel ( especially John) was very polite; making guests feel at ease !!!

I grew up one mile down the road and have seen many changes over the very many years I lived and visited the rea to see my family who live around the corner. the room was very comfortable and very clean and staff very welcoming

Location was great. Shops, several restaurants and pubs within a few minutes walk. Apartment was very clean, nicely designed and well fitted. Parking is easy to access and only 3-4 minute walk away.

    We were so well placed for lots of great outings and walks.

    We were so well placed for lots of great outings and walks. We all particularly loved the seal trip and the safe, expansive beach at Holcombe. The boys had lots of fun crabbing at Wells and Blakeney. Sunday lunch at the Harnser was delicious.

    Such a lovely pictuesque village, especially the pretty houses, the beautiful windmill and all the colourful hollyhocks everywhere at this time of the year.Lovely walking area. Would like more seats/benches though on the very good flat pathways and near the beach for those older holiday makers, as we are.

    Great walks along the marshes and shingle beach.

    Great walks along the marshes and shingle beach. Characterful buildings dating from the village's past as a trading port. Locally caught delicacies at the Cley Smokehouse. Picturesque windmill. Good food at The Harnser bistro. You need to be a bit nimble as pavements are not continuous! Easy access in both directions along the N Norfolk coast via the Coast Hopper bus (£2 per trip regardless of distance).

    Cley is the perfect location for country and coastal walks.

    Cley is the perfect location for country and coastal walks. There is a very good bus service; we used the bus to visit Sheringham and Blakeney. There are some good pubs/restaurants within walking distance; we enjoyed eating at the George and Dragon & the three swallows.

    My dad was born in North Norfolk, I have been going nearly every year since 1974 always will love North Norfolk. Cley next the sea is a beautiful place to stay, Ideal for walks, bird watching, dog walking and all sorts of stuff. If you cannot stay in Cley all the other villages near by are just has lovely. You have 3 shopping villages on the the bus route or by car near by. Wells next the sea, Sherringham and Cromer all are worth a visit. Inland by car you could visit Holt another great visit. You can get on the Steam Train Poppy line from Sherringham to Holt or Holt to Sherringham.

    Beautiful buildings, historic village, very near to the sea...

    Beautiful buildings, historic village, very near to the sea and to the Norfolk Wildlife Centre. We enjoyed an evening meal at the Harnser and the second night an evening meal at the George & Dragon. the nearby Norfolk Wildlife Centre has an excellent café. Be sure to visit the church which is very beautiful and interesting.
