The hotel is stunningly stylish in every aspect and has been recently renovated. The bathroom and room were exceptionally clean. The in-room amenities like the TV, complimentary tea, coffee, and cookies offer a delightful sense of relaxation after a long day. The hotel bar is also very enjoyable, and I won’t even begin to describe the amazing cakes and coffee you can enjoy on the terrace—they’re simply wonderful. The warm welcome from the hotel manager upon arrival, and the same heartfelt farewell, made the stay truly unforgettable. Oh, and I almost forgot—there’s a car park right next to the hotel. Just leave your car there and immerse yourself in the breathtaking countryside nature.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Bear Bread Bakery. Hosts Sharon and Colin were very welcoming, the room was beautiful and the food was SO delicious. My review could not do justice to this unique B&B, it really needs to be experienced.

The white cottage is in a typically English village and is stunning Steve and Donna so obviously care about their business and it is a great place to stay. The village has a local shop and a great pub. We would stay again if we find ourselves in the area again. 10 out of 10.

The family working at the farm were so friendly and gave my children and excellent experience helping to feed the calfs and watch the cows being milked. Our caravan was cosy and made a very pleasant stay.

Very cosy and super clean. Cooking utensils and facilities all first class - would definitely stay there again. Nice quite location and parking outside the house to unload was perfect.

Lidia was a wonderful host. We loved the spacious, private room in a beautiful home with separate access. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful linen. Minton house is in the centre of a lovely, quaint little town and also in driving distance to other well known towns and stunning countryside and coastal walks. We especially loved having a home cooked delicious breakfast every morning and chatting with Lidia. She is a very friendly, welcoming host. We highly recommend a stay here.

    Colyton is a gem of a town approximately 15 minutes from the beautiful coast of East Devon. Super pub (The Kingfisher) and a great farm shop amongst other things. Quiet and packed full of interesting buildings.

    If you like rural places then you'll enjoy Colyton and its...

    If you like rural places then you'll enjoy Colyton and its surrounding area There are some lovely scenic drives in all directions from Colyton but if you are travelling to Colyton from east to west then turn right 2.5 miles after the last roundabout on the Dorchester bypass to Portisham then Abbotsbury coastal road into Bridport If you've not taken this road before then you're in for a treat. Lyme Regis is one of my favourites check out the car parks there on Google. Touristy yes but a great beach. If you're lucky you'll find a parking spot just before crossing the river heading into Colyton. from the farm. There's a few seats overlooking the river and a restaurant serving cream teas, but at £6.80 a pop I settled for an ice cream made with beautiful Devon cream. yum. Ottery St Mary has a massive garden centre that has a huge undercover section with a restaurant, worth a visit what ever the weather. But you'll find a hundred and one things to entertain you in and around Colyton I'm sure

    2 minutes walk from the property is a garden centre,farm shop with a great cafe selling a wide range of food. Colyton church is well worth a visit and the vintage trams from colyton to Seaton are a must, quite expensive but you can hop on and off all day. The villagers,with one exception were very friendly.

    Nestled in the rolling countryside, this small Saxon village feels like something out of a storybook. With its charming, idyllic cottages and peaceful lanes, it’s the perfect place to unwind. The locals are warm and welcoming, adding to the village’s inviting atmosphere. Surrounded by beautiful views of the hills and coast, it’s a serene spot that feels miles away from the hustle and bustle—yet it’s just a short, easy drive to Lyme Regis, making it an ideal base for exploring the Jurassic Coast.

    A lovely hamlet with the Kingfisher pub warm and friendly.

    A lovely hamlet with the Kingfisher pub warm and friendly. Meals were very good but booking was required as tables in high demand. Colyton had a railway tram which goes to Seaton passing some beautiful marsh land. The cafe at the tram station has some nice food.

    The Colyton community greet you when passing which I found...

    The Colyton community greet you when passing which I found charming. Parking could be a problem in high season. The lanes are narrow but, oh my goodness, enchanting historical buildings - I so wished they could talk! The Kingfisher serves excellent meals as does The Wheelwright Arms, a short drive away. Really enjoyed the lunch at Toast Cafe in Honiton - not to mention their delicious array of cakes and the other irresistible fare. Travelling to Sidmouth, Honiton, Beer, Exeter are all accessible from Colyton so a great location.
