We were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. It was later than planned and I believe technically the kitchen was closed, but we were accommodated and given a delicious meal and a well needed beverage. I enquired if there was a local bus route to Wansbeck hospital and an amazing staff member even went so far as to research the times I would need to leave to catch the bus and at what time I would arrive. It had been an emotional day and the extra effort was extremely touching and very much appreciated. The room is very cosy. Welcome package and toiletries were again very nicely thought out and appreciated. The bed is comfy, the decor is lovely, the towels beautifully fluffy, breakfast was delicious, location was good - I could go on.

    Cowpen has its limitations!

    Cowpen has its limitations! Closer to Newcastle than we would have preferred we spent quite a lot of time going to other places. But in Blyth Caboose Restaurant nice, Dolly Dimples breakfast very nice - shame about the coffee! Fish and chips at the South Beach - Delicious, John's Chinese Take Away great!! On time delivery/tasty food. South Beach obviously popular in the sunshine, free parking and mainly sandy beach
