Burtree Country House was really clean, peaceful and offered everything you would need for a romantic getaway. The staff (Hamza and Maryam in particular) was awesome and made sure we had everything needed.

We were upgraded to a lovely room, with a large comfortable four poster bed. On request we were given an extra blanket (which wasn't needed after all). Breakfast was delicious and excellent quality.

absolutely everything we wanted something quiet and peaceful but close to York. it is our hidden gem for when we want to stay for york visits, also the pub 30 yards away was awesome food and staff was so friendly.

Welcome pack, lovely 😍 with quality food items, especially the Yorkshire Parkin 😋. Very nice back garden. Well equipped kitchen with lots of teatowels and washing up liquid, etc. Very useful utility room. Spacious rooms. Downstairs and upstairs bathroom with first-rate walk-in shower . Very clean property. Plenty of towels. Children's stairgate came in handy. Nice decor and extremely comfortable 👌.

    Stayed at the Faucenberg Inn.

    Stayed at the Faucenberg Inn. AWFUL Booked 1 night double room with shared bathroom. Taken to a garden shed 100 metes downhill with just a double bed and ONE cold tap . Chemical toilet 20 metres away. Put sawdust on Poo when used she said. IMMEDIATE COMPLAINT. TOTALLY FULL SHE SAID AND BLANMED BOOKING .COM. I was stuck Lunch with drinks meant no choice to stay in this hovel. Spiders on the bed wall kept my wife awake most of the night. Weeds were coming in the ceiling. The corner was rotting. I told her I refused to pay for this. She took the full money anyway from my account after we left!!!!! An awful avericious woman. In all my life I have NEVER been given this standard of rented accommodation. She can keep the damn money she stole from me. She needs it more than she cares for her customers.

    A beautiful village and the church boasts a rare octagonal tower. A teashop at the bottom of the street is well worth a visit too. There are no shops around so a trip to Helmsley is a must. Walks around the North York Moors are bracing for solo travellers.

    Our room had a view of Byland Abbey, which is beautiful. Set in beautiful countryside and parts of the building dating back to the time the Abbey was built apparently (12th century). Helpful staff, plenty of space in the Inn to roam around, have a drink etc. Outside tables and garden ares too. Plenty of parking available.

    Good location to break journey up from Essex to Northumberland with close access to the main roads (A1 and A19). Plenty to see in the local area if using it as a base - York, Byland & Riveaux Abbeys, Moors ........

    Coxwold is a beautiful small village, it is very picturesque and was the perfect location for exploring Yorkshire. The Falconberg is a lovely quaint village pub with lots of charm. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was very nice.
