The location is beautiful, nestled on the river with amazing views and plenty of boats to watch as they come and go. There are lots of lovely independent shops, cosy cafés, and excellent restaurants to explore, all within easy walking distance. One of the highlights was the scenic walk along the river to Dartmouth Castle, perched on the headland with breathtaking views. Very friendly and kind people, always ready to help with directions, etc. Good mix of restaurants and pubs suited for all budget types. A beautiful town with a lovely harbour. Lots of places to eat and drink whether its a full meal or just coffee and cake. The castle is worth a visit. Been coming to Dartmouth for 25 years and love the place. Noticed quite a few shops empty and restaurants even in high season not open late, booking essential.
