we had stayed at the hotel previously and enjoyed it so decided to return to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The only grips was that the window view I paid for was limited and to make the most of it we need to move furniture and the window wouldn’t stay open. It was a very hot day but much cooler night and if we could’ve opened the window we would’ve had a much better night sleep. We were provided with a fan in the room that was far too noisy and made a little difference to the ambient temperature. Small but significant observations.Guest review byMiles - 10.0

We went to Dorking to do a bit of countryside walking.
We went to Dorking to do a bit of countryside walking. We started each walk form Box Hill visitors' centre. We followed the Juniper Trail which is a decent length with some rather steep sections. While those were a bit of a challenge, the uphill was not too long, so for an averagely fit person it's fine. We also tried the Stepping Stones trail, which is shorter than the Juniper one, but with steeper and longer downhill and uphill sections and a flat section alongside the river Mote. The city of Dorking is charming.
The city of Dorking is charming. The people are friendly and the shops are lovely. We ate at the amazing Roosters Kitchen, I highly recommend the pink lady dip. The food was so fresh and tasted amazing. The wait staff were attentive and gave great service. We walked everywhere, but there were buses if you don't feel like walking. All of the roses were in bloom too! We also had a proper Sunday roast chicken meal on Sunday at Stepping Stones. My daughter had the roast beef, both were divine..Guest review byTori D
