Beautiful room and gardens, amazing food, very friendly and attentive staff. The swimming pool is a delight, and it’s great that there’s a sauna and small gym. Huge and very comfortable bed! The location is delightful and so peaceful. In our case wonderful that they had EV charging. Excellent vegetarian + plant-based options for dinner. Overall a really wonderful stay

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff. I stayed there during Storm Darragh which resulted in the power being down at the hotel for nearly 12 hours. Candles and battery operated lamps together with extra bedding were provided. Nothing was too much trouble.

    Lovely quiet village with friendly people and great...

    Lovely quiet village with friendly people and great Community shop. Accessible for places of interest and only 45 minutes drive to Weymouth, where Park and Ride is recommended. Only downside, all pubs/restaurants are a drive away and most need to be pre-booked. However, Palmers fish restaurant very good and Half Moon Inn also very good and neither need to be booked, if you forget and leave it to the last minute, like us!

    Halstock was a lovely, sleepy village set in beautiful countryside. Not a lot to do, but great for a stopover on the way from Sussex to Cornwall. I was disappointed that the Haines Motor Museum was not open due to Covid19,
