I loved everything! First of all, they called me beforehand to check if I really wanted the cot in the room since we booked the ‘smallest room’. I thought that was very considerate and still went for the cot because our daughter sleeps better in it. Turned out: the ‘smallest’ room wasn’t that small in my opinion so I was pleasantly surprised! When checking in, they walked with us to the room and helped carry the stuff, great service! The towels are super big and fluffiest I’ve ever had in a hotel. There’s also AC in the room. And I had the a really good sleep. Bed was comfortable! Breakfast was also nice. Parking available in front of the hotel for free!

I was here a few times in the past and it was nice. I returned specifically for the swimming pool and I was so disappointed to hear that now we need to pay extra to use this facility. It was muche better to include that in the room price and to leave the guest to feel special by having this extra. Is like going to car wash and to be asked to pay £1 extra for air freshener.

A pretty and historic village, the birthplace of cricket is on the outskirts of the village, and the vineyard is within a few minutes walk. We ate at The Shoe in Exton (10 minute drive), which is really nice. The Bat and Ball does decent food as well. the local pub is The Vine and there is a village shop. There are plenty of options to walk and explore the local countryside. Portsmouth is an easy drive if you want to explore the city and it's Naval history.
