Lovely old fashioned Inn with nice rooms and great views of harlech castle. Lovely staff who were very happy and helpful. The beach and local sites vere very close. All in all it was a lovely place and would go back in the future.

Very friendly owner. Very good full English breakfast. Lovely china on the tables and views of surrounding countryside. The owner and a guest directed us to the nearest place to eat which was a pub about two miles north. Good food there. We were sent to sleep by gentle noises of sheep.

The site that the cottage is located in feels very exclusive and is beautifully landscaped and maintained. It has everything you need and is an excellent base for exploring Harlech, Porthmadog, Barmouth, Carmarthen and Cricceth to name just a few. The cottage it's self is very modern and cosy and we couldn't fault it.

Fantastic property in a wonderful location next to the castle. Enjoyed plenty of walks from the doorstep as well as travelling to Snowdon and other local attractions. The cottage was well furnished and cosy. Would highly recommend.

    Shame not many shops in Harlech itself and limited places to...

    Shame not many shops in Harlech itself and limited places to eat as didn't serve food every evening. Nice short walk to an expansive sandy beach. Transport needed to reach destinations further away, although train station & buses available to access elsewhere. Llanfair Slate Mines & Harlech Castle definitely worth a visit, plenty of shops in nearby Barmouth too. Plenty of dog friendly beaches too for our furry friends, who tired themselves out every day, especially after walking the 25% & 40% gradient hills up into Harlech itself.

    Harlech is a lovely village with all you need for a getaway...

    Harlech is a lovely village with all you need for a getaway whether a night or longer. The town people were friendly and accommodating the castle was most interesting and clean with the friendly staff made it easy to get around. The coffee was great also at the castle tea room. Lots of little shops for your needs and souvenirs and braising. Plenty of opportunities for a memorable picture snap.

    Castle Cottage Inn provides great accommodation and service.

    Castle Cottage Inn provides great accommodation and service. Epecially for those who are interested in medieval castles. It is located right by Harlech Castle (5 minute walking distance). Not to mention it has a spectacular view of the landscape. Includes the beach, golf course and countryside. Also, their are plenty of our pubs/restaurants to eat near by and small independent shops selling all kinds of interesting items.

    We did not see very much of the town.

    We did not see very much of the town. We did not visit the castle. We could not find any good restaurants in Harlech and so ate at Portmeirion and Portmadog. What we did see of Harlech gave us the impression that the town is a little run down in some areas. We have read that the beach is excellent, and the castle is superb, but we did not have time to visit either.

    Lovely people. But it's a ghost town.

    Lovely people. But it's a ghost town. It was raining (not their fault), no restaurants' or bars or cafes were open. In affect the town is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The area feels neglected and is certainly not geared up for holidays. We booked for two nights and left after one. Not the fault of the people or property we stayed at. Just that the town is miserable place to be.

    A great little place, with the emphasis on the 'little'. Nevertheless, there was enough space for this dad and two teenagers. Of particular importance to us was how well equipped the kitchen was, which is crucial because at the start of the season Harlech doesn't have many options for eating out. Enjoyed our time here. ☺️

    I know the Harlech area anyway, so knew the location was good. The property was excellent and the host more so. Very friendly and accommodating. He was very willing to do anything to make me feel relaxed and comfortable etc. I could not have asked for more. The facilities were all of a noticeably high standard.

    Friendly staff and two friendly huskies/hosts greeted us every morning and evening. The breakfast was lovely and having guests around with other dogs was great. Its only a stones throw away from Harlech castle and the beach aswell.

    We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and had a lovely stay at the Queen's Hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast and there's a spacious bar area where you can have drinks and an evening meal.
