From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The attention to detail, the stunning natural surroundings, and the peaceful atmosphere made our stay fabulous. Our tent was beautifully styled—cozy yet luxurious—with everything we needed, from a comfy bed and utensils to fairy lights that created the perfect evening glow. Waking up to birdsong and sipping tea with a view of the meadow was pure bliss. The site is perfectly maintained, with clean facilities and thoughtful touches throughout. The hosts were warm, welcoming and recommended The Red lion for dinner which was outstanding and great value a short walk over the meadow. Whether you’re looking to unwind, reconnect with nature, or just treat yourself to a unique getaway, this glamping site delivers in every way. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our return. Can’t recommend it enough!

The whole stay was absolutely perfect. Such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. The facilities are very well thought through. The bed was super comfortable, and the hut was warm at night. There is a bbq and a fireplace that is absolutely amazing. The hosts were so helpful anytime we needed anything. I even injured myself, and they were very helpful. The field where the hut is is so beautiful and well maintained. The kitchenette and bathroom were very well maintained and with everything you could imagine. I highly recommend this stay for a nice and peaceful break from the city. We will definitely come back. Thank you very much Lisa and Martin.

on arrival we were welcomed to the property by Alex. nothing was to much travel and made us feel very relaxed. the bar area is fantastic with a welcome warming log fire and the quality of ales/cocktails on offer were excellent especially the Negroni 🤪 the best was yet to come as we had booked into the restaurant for the evening on recommendation from friends. the chef must be kept under lock and key so that he doesn’t get poached away to other high flying restaurants suffice to say he’s skills in the kitchen were stunning the food was some of the best I’ve had and I travel a lot. we will definitely be back very soon . a big thank you to Alex and his team.

The cottage was lovely the pictures don’t do it justice! It’s warm with everything you need. It was my husband’s birthday and they left balloons, card and little present for him. They also left us a tray of goodies and tea etc! We all enjoyed our stay and enjoyed a walk to the local village with a stop in the pub which had a wood burner. We would definitely be back!

We walked around the area which was very nice.

We walked around the area which was very nice. We drove to Public houses outside Haverhill in the evenings. We ate at the Red Lion , Sturmer the first evening and had a nice meal there. The next night we drove to The Three Ways, Cowlinge. This has included in their menu, South African Dishes which were very tasty.

One main high street, with a entertainment complex...

One main high street, with a entertainment complex consisting of a couple of restaurants and multi-screen cinema off the main road behind it. There are a lot of empty shopping units on the high street. Pubs wise : The Royal Exchange - seemed like a locals pub with lots of screens for sport. Quite busy early evening Saturday. Nethergate Ales on. Not sure on food times as no-one was eating but there were sauce bottles about. Queens Head - oldest pub in Haverhill - appears to be a bit dirty with dusty glasses hanging above the bar. TV for sport but I think its just terrestial no sky etc. No food and Cash Only. The Bull - easily the best pub with two pool tables and well kept Guinness. Drabet Smock - Typical Weatherspoons but quiter than most with plenty of tables available. Not many drunks rolling about either, Nine Jars - it is said to be Haverhills place for the younger people with music and other bits to keep them amused such as a selfie booth. Well all I can say is the young people of Haverhill must have gone into Cambridge that night (saturday) as it was not busy at all - however the music was too loud so we didn't stay. Anne of Cleeves house worth a walk upto. Haverhill is a perfect location - just half hour from Newmarket Races, and you can plot a decent route down some narrow lanes to avoid traffic. Not sure what its like on Guineas weekend etc - but on a normal race weekend it was a good choice.

Booked 2 rooms and paid upfront turned out after I booked it and checked the location against where we was going the following day it was 45 mins away, owners not interested in cancellation and did not speak good English, did not understand me. The rooms was very small and all parts of the hotel was not clean, needs major renewal works. The beds was like concrete and my friends shower did not work. The Indian restaurant as part of the pub was good but expensive. All in all not worth the stay very disappointed will not use again.

The staff here were incredibly friendly and absolutely made the trip. For any negatives I had about my stay, they were made up for by how friendly the staff were. Breakfast was delicious and the cocktails that the bar served were top notch. The hotel is centrally located in Haverhill and very handy. If I find myself back in Haverhill I'd absolutely stay here again.

The staff were so attentive and professional. This really didn’t feel like a hotel stay where you were just a statistic; it was so homely and there was great attention to the little details in the room. Breakfast was wonderful and the team were so accommodating, professional and great fun.
